Lovers of premium Italian food and wine should note Bellagio in West Bromwich down in their little black books. Located in a charismatic old whitewashed inn on Seagar Street, this chic Italian stands out on the local dining scene. From its cosmopolitan dcor to the artfully presented cuisine created from fresh produce and ingredients imported directly from Italy Bellagio is the perfect choice for business lunches, family meals or traditional Sunday luncheons. With its stylish cocktail bar and sunny garden, Bellagio is also the perfect spot for sneaky drinks-and-dinner dates, and the glamorous dining room is decorated with bright red leather banquettes, wooden floors, frescoes, Deco-style lighting and glossy granite tables.
Booked this restaurant on recommendation for my mother in laws birthday. Greeted as we entered then went to the bar to order drinks. Young lady served us, she could not understand English very well, communicating our drinks to her was difficult & she had to fetch another member of staff to serve us. I asked for two large cokes (for my children) & 2 half pint lagers for myself & husband. The bill came to nearly £14. The cokes were £5 each! Disgusted. Seated at table, ordered a bottle of prosecco £28, same brand as what they sell in Tesco/Asda for £6.50. Shocking. Ordered lamb dinner from Sunday lunch menu, said £13.95 two course on website but it was actually £16.95 for two courses on their restaurant menu. I think when they picked up the prosecco from Asda they purchased cheap rubbery pre packed lamb, it was grey, chewy & I couldn’t eat it. It was cut up into a thousand pieces & covered in mint gravy. 2 half roast potatoes and 2 broccoli stems & a few green beans. Not my idea of Sunday lunch. At the end of the meal I explained I couldn’t touch the lamb it was pure fat/ligament, waiter said “don’t worry I’ll look after you”. Thinking he would have (should have!!) removed the cost of my inedible main from my bill, he had merely not charged me for an £8 cocktail I ordered earlier on! Horrified. Terrible customer service. So I paid £16.95 for a tiramisu basically. Good job my mum cooked a proper roast dinner later that day else I would have starved. Their only saving grace was that my children had carbonara & Spaghetti Bolognese with Garlic bread off the adult menu & it was really nice (starving hungry I managed to scrape up their left overs which wasn’t much) Perhaps I should’ve stuck to authentic Italian food.

Finest Indian and bangladeshi cuisine.
A first visit here and we found the food of a good standard, but certainly not the best we've tasted. We often visit the Voujon down the road and this is better value and the food of a similar standard The restaurant was busy and the service rather slow, but fortunately you can bring your own drinks, which I'd recommend as a Coke set me back £3.00!

Haven't been here for a while due to the poor reviews recently.
Visited about 6pm on a Saturday and it was very busy, not sure if west brom had played. Anyway we grabbed a table and all the rooms have been refurbished even if they didn't need it. It has all been done to very high standard.
Upon looking at the menu it was clear ALL prices have gone up and it is no longer the cheap place it once was. I think £9 for a balti is too high.
Anyway hubby had chicken tikka masala and I had a small mixed grill. Well I can say portion sizes have increased. Hubby said his meal was amazing. The mixed grill was huge and had massive chunks of chicken on it, I'm talking the size of whole chicken thighs! I couldn't finish it and the leftovers fed me for 2 days! The only negative would be that it was very warm, how that is managed on a sizzling platter I don't know! The sides of cheese nan and chips were ok.
Overall yes the prices have increased but so have the portion sizes. I think we will back but it will be a treat not the regular meal out it once was.

Food is delicious, fish is gorgeous. Everyone who works there are friendly and have seen my children grow over the years.. the only reason it isnt 5* is because they have different chefs sometimes and can be abit wishy washy on the taste. Have been...MoreThank you for the review and please follow us on our new fb page sportsman restaurant and bar. We hope you enjoy our refurb and we will endeavour for consistency across our chefs ?

Keema great, lovely rice but the goat was just full of bones....MoreSorry to hear that you were disappointed with your meal, Richard. We'd got take out from here a few times but this was our first time eating in.
Place is really clean and even though we arrived quite late (nearly midnight) the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see us. Service was quick, food cooked beautifully. Fantastic meal and service, can't fault it!
