They have a regular choice of pizzas, but the quality is extraordinary, especially the pizza dough is excellent. I heard they won a prize for their pizzas, it may well be justified. Service very friendly, food came quickly and the decor is a bit kitschy, but never mind, if in the area I wouldn't doubt to come back.

When we visit, we usually enjoy another restaurant's lunch buffet in downtown Värnamo. My sister-in-law and I decided to try something different on our shopping trip outing. The sign for this restaurant says "Rose Garden Neo Asian," and it has an inviting outdoor Seating area--perfect for a summer day.
Rather than "neo-Asian," it was the typical Chinese buffet. The price for lunch was reasonable, and included a variety of drinks, from Fountain sodas to bottled flavors of Ramlösa. Buffet choices were, unfortunately, very heavy on the fried and greasy side. Fried chicken, fried shrimp, fried fish, pork in mushroom cream sauce, Thai vegetables in sauce, sauteed vegetables, lo mein, mushroom beef, sushi and a small salad bar were among the choices. We arrived at 1:40, and the buffet ended at 2:30. We had plenty time to eat, and saw that this was a very popular restaurant by the number of patrons around us.

The restaurant at this modern art museum offers excellent lunch options. We had cod loins, tagliatelle and isterband (a local sausage), all lovingly prepared and presented.
The restaurant interior is a tad on the minimalistic side, but the dining furniture by Hans Wegner certainly compensates.
A very good option to get a break for food both for body and soul.

We visited this pub to have dinner after a long day. The interior is nice, wooden, english or irish style. Quick service. We enjoyed beer from the tap and a burger.
The burger was brought as a nice presentation, was juicy.
Looks like they have life music from time to time, but not when we were there. Was on a regular weekday. Will certainly return.
Have places outside with heating so that you can enjoy a beer even in cooler days.

In Värnamo there's not much of competition when it comes to coffee places. And it shows...
Hopefully there will be some healthy competition in the near future, maybe bringing down prices and pushing up the quality of the cookies... (It is really expensive!)
I'm not sure if I would recommend this place, but it's the only one there :(

Came to town for a business meeting and my hosts chose this popular and traditional restaurant by the old country road through downtown Värnamo. Nice big white wooden building with verandas and a garden. The lunch buffet was delicious and plentiful, the service kind and infomative and the interior cosy. A bargain, I would say. I will return.

The drive from Loevhagen to Värnamo is beautiful in the summertime, and we make it each time we visit--for downtown shopping and lunch. Stigs has indoor Seating, but what's even better is the outdoor patio facing the bridge over the water.
Lunch is reasonably priced, and we chose the buffet with various salads. Some of what I chose included the leafy greens, quinoa/broccoli salad, cabbage salad, cheese, and cubed chicken. Sweet baked treats are included and tasty. There was also a big loaf of multigrain bread or white bread for us to slice ourselves to take as much as we needed. Expect to take your plates and trays inside to the tray collection area when you're finished.
Stigs isn't fancy, just casual, and the food is satisfying, healthy fare. If you're in the area of Värnamo downtown, it's worth the wait for a table outside in the sun!
