I expected miniature models made out of matchsticks. Instead- 10 minute video on history of matchsticks in Sweden and two rooms of machinery used to make matchsticks and display of matchstick boxes. Ok for passing 20 minutes of your time if the sun isn't shining. 50Kr each a bit much.

We made a spur-of-the-moment stop here when driving through the area, and are glad we did. There is lots of history here, both societal and industrial, and the range of objects to have been produced here is quite amazing, from guns to stoves to racing motorbikes to sewing machinges to chainsaws - and automatic hotdog dispensers. The museum is a little old-fashioned in so far as it being mostly objects lined up with little signs saying what they are, but there are also some more explanatory signs and movies, interiors of typical homes from different time periods etc that add to the enjoyment and understanding. Also, when we were there, construction work was going on and displays are being rebuilt and redesigned - would be interesting to come back again when they are done. Overall, still quite an interesting piece of (industrial) history, also including the outside of the building and the adjacent water power. Just across from the museum are a couple of streets of small old workers' houses, now converted into arts and crafts shops, which are also worth a visit.

Located a merely 20-25 minutes walk from the downtown the park offers a beautiful view of the city and surrounding areas. There is a football stadium up there, few cafes/dinners though seemed rather closed during winter. There is also a nice park for kids to play. I recommend a quick visit up there to check the view.

I seldom pass a church without stopping to see if the door is open and in Sweden, as in most of Europe, they usually are. From one beautiful church to the next and this was no exception. Happened it was right across from our hotel, even better! Visited more than once.

Happened to stop by at the Husqvarna industrial museum and saw the Galleri Smedbyn. It is typically what old Swedish tradition stands for and the town should be proud they still have this to reflect on. This is worth a visit to absorb the tradition of times past in this wonderful country .

This is a small art gallery. It's nice, with three or four exhibition halls (rooms). I guess the experience depends a lot on what Exhibitions are in place at the moment. When we visited there was a lot of focus on local painter John Bauer. That part was great and we bought a lot of prints of his work in the gift shop.
The rest was so-so at best. Very political and kind of odd. The kind you think "how does this qualify as art?"
The entrance was free, and thereby I deem it worthy of a visit.
