The world's southernmost city is located on the Beagle Channel, between the Martial Range and the end of the world. It is a key access point to skiing at Cerro Castor and Glaciar Martial, wildlife adventures with penguins and orcas in the Beagle Channel, and Tierra del Fuego National Park. Of course, it’s also the port of call nearest Antarctica, and a unique destination for kayaking, sailing or having a drink in a warm hotel bar.

Outstanding service AND delicious food. Worth the trek up the steep hill! Really this merits a 4.5 star rating! Our friends recommended this place - and we were not disappointed. The view is stunning, overlooking the bay. But that isn't the reason to go. The taste and flavors in the ceviche were complex. A hint of spice going down but not too much. Centolla Kaupe was truly amazing. The chocolate bar dessert was decadent.

SUNDAY CLOSED
The reviews of this restaurant were enticing and it didn't disappoint. The menu was had lots of fish and meat options and a tasting menu. The fish was extremely well cooked and we really enjoyed. Lots of options for sharing a desert and they are good, so you can share the guilt. It opens at seven and fills up quickly so either book a table or be early. The views across the beagle Channel are spectacular and constantly changing as the light level declines. Get a seat by the window if you can.

We had a table overlooking the sea and could watch the seagulls fly by. The service was excellent, very accommodating to our special food needs (gluten free, vegetarian). It is a bit pricey by Argentinean standards but well worth it.

Eating is not only the food. It is e experience. And La Mesita de Almanza is a place you want to return and return. Located in Almanza, this fisherman's village just in front of Puerto Williams, offers a cosy and homey place with view to the Beagle Channel. There is just capacity for 18 persons. Loreto and Lito, incredible hosts, and everything Loreto prepares is wonderful. I decided for the Centolla Volcano and I am very happy I did. Excelent Cakes, coffee but the best of all the conversation with this lovely couple.

The restaurant is a short walk from the Cilene del Faro which is where we were staying. Very welcoming reception and both our servers were fluent in English.
The food was well prepared and presented and , even more importantly, tasty.
For starters we had king crab bruschetta and ceviche both of which were excellent. For mains, I opted for the seafood stew. Very good selection of ingredients with clams, prawns, octopus and squid. Might have benefitted from a bit more stock but very flavoursome. My wife chose the tooth fish which is a bit more exotic than our normal cod and chips- she was very impressed and happy to pay the premium such a rare treat required.
A good choice and the restaurant deserves success.
