Wonderful setting, gorgeous wooden wig-wams, well stocked visitors kitchen, clean showers and really helpful owners. There is nothing negative to say about this wonderful place. You can hire bikes, take your own and make use of the fabulous trails around the area or you can just sit at the doorway and breath! Loved it.

As one of Europe's leading Chocolate and Pastry schools, we teach our students using the very best ingredients and equipment in our purpose-fitted kitchen.
We called in for hot chocolate which frankly was rather disappointing. Due to the reputation of the venue we expected a much richer beverage & did not expect 'squirty cream from a can'!! have enjoyed better in less specialist places. The presentation was somewhat lacking serving the drink in an overfilled pottery mug with no saucer or spoon resulting in the drink spilling down the sides of the mug. Surely, as a specialist venue you can do better than this??

Dawyck is truly one of the world's finest arboreta. Seasonal displays of abundant exotic and native plants provide a breathtaking backdrop of colour throughout the year. The Garden also offers an award-winning visitor centre. Part of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.
Beautiful Gardens all year round. Closed in winter, but from early spring snowdrops right through to late autumn colours it is captivating with lots of paths to explore and incredible views over the Gardens and surrounding countryside. Back at the modern glass-fronted cafe with a view of the Gardens, a nice menu with additional specials each day, is a welcome treat which you can follow with a browse through the books, cards, jewellery, and other gifts in the shop. Well worth giving Dawyck a good few hours of your day.

Great session with Jess who after establishing what I wanted from the day quickly assessed some errors in my riding and set about correcting them. Coaching was progressive and easy to follow and I felt a real improvement in my riding over the session. By the end of the day I was able to tackle previously tricky sections with loads more confidence and in a much more relaxed manner. As MTBers we're quick to spend fortunes on the latest go faster widget whereas a few pounds spent on tuition is a much better "upgrade"

This large semi-formal, walled garden features rose Gardens, herbaceous borders, well-stocked greenhouses and woodland walking trails.
Really lovely Gardens in a magnificent setting in the Scottish Border country not far from Peebles. Well worth a visit and why not combine it with a meal in OSSO in Peebles. There's fishing, putting and Boules all in the same location. A lovely day out !!

This CAN be relaxing, but, and it,s quite a big but; some cyclists can be quite inconsiderate towards other path users! They approach from behind----cycling fast and do not alert walkers of their presence. This could be dangerous as someone may step to the side, unaware they are approaching, then ----disaster!! I feel it is only a matter of time before someone is hurt. So Please cyclists, invest in a bell AND USE it!!!

Easy to miss on the busy high street and to do so would be a mistake. Lovely tranquil spot either to sit and relax or to pay your respects at the war memorial. Take some time and visit it.

This museum celebrates the life and works of John Buchan, author of 'The 39 Steps.'
Considering the relatively small space this museum has a great deal to read and see. We were very pleased to see how many actual items directly connected with Buchan are displayed.
We were aware of John Buchan but learned that he lead an incredible life and wondered how he found time to write.
We were so inspired we now intend to read some of his books.

This forest offers a varied habitat that attracts a wide range of wildlife.
This is my third time at Glentress to go mountain biking and every time has been amazing! There is a great selection of trails for all standards from beginners on blue trails to advanced riders. The trails are also so well maintained.
I'm sure that it won't be long before I'm back again!
