Voormalig restaurant 'Mes Amis' te Urk sinds de zomer van 2011 gevestigd in een nieuw pand op de haven van Urk.Heerlijke locale gerechten in een historisch pand gelegen op een prachtlocatie. Als je 'op' Urk bent, is het eigenlijk een must om in dit restaurant van een luch of diner te genieten.

We visited Urk for a day with the family and had lunch at this fine restaurant. The three-course meal was exceptional and definitely one of the best I've ever had. It was creative, looked great and tasted amazing. The portions were just right for someone like myself who generally is not a huge eater. The tiny amuses were mouth-watering.
Lovely setting near the water, knowledgeable and accommodating staff.

Urk was an island before the “afsluitdijk” (Enclosure Dam) an island. Many people from the island used to live from the fishery.
Today Urk is on a half island. It is easier to reach the Mainland. Anyway many people live from fishery there.
When we arrived at the center of Urk, we saw a fish selling shop and just beside a trendy fish restaurant. The decoration of the restaurant is great. Paintings from “old Urk” etc. The fish you can eat there is among the very best we ever ate.
This restaurant is worth an excursion.

We enjoyed a nice lunch at Zeebodem: Dutch seafood both in the form of "kibbeling" (deep-friend fish pieces with remoulade sauce) and a superb salad with smoked fish & eel. The Terrace has great views over the old fishing harbour and the staff is friendly. Good option along the waterfront.

Prachtige haven, goed bereikbaar via de vaargeul vanaf het IJsselmeer. Je kan doorvaren naar het centrum en daar i.o.m. de havenmeester afmeren op een vrije plek aan de stijgers of aan de kade. Goede voorzieningen als stroom en water bij veel ligplaatsen beschikbaar. In de zomer en vooral op zaterdag avond kan het erg druk zijn.

Café de Ommele is een gemoedelijk café met een vleugje modern. Je kan er heerlijk lunchen en dineren want ze hebben een gevarieerde menukaart. Van spareribs tot heerlijke boterzachte kabeljauw. Ook kun je reserveren voor een hapjes plank, welke zeer aan te raden is. Naast het eten, kun je er ook nog gezellig een avondje drankjes doen.

Couldn't thank the people at Plaza 6 enough, I went with my boyfriend at the beginning of December and I was not disappointed! So much amazing quality food, wide choice of delicious desserts friendly staff and the stirfy chefs were so talented! Will definitely be going back next time I'm in The Netherlands!

We loved our dinner at this Greek restaurant. A hidden gem in a side street of the busy shopping street. The street is even called 'Achterom', which translates into a street around the back. The staff was super friendly and put a smile on our faces and yummy food in our bellies. Would revisit! The upstairs part does not require a lot of effort. There is an elevator if you don't wish to go on the (steep!) stairs.

This review needs some explanation. It is very good, but not because you will be sitting on velvet chairs in a luxurious environment. No, if you can sit, it will be in old chairs outside underneath a plastic raincover 'roof' that is attached to the makeshift container like building in which the 'boys Van de Fant' sell their fish, fried or fresh. What they sell tastes good and the boys are so popular, cars come and go constantly. Locals go here. So, that's why this is a very good place.

My sis and I shared the gourmet platter (for two) and also ordered a fish soup. Every morsel of fish, beef, pâte, shrimp, eel, etc. was exquisite. No regrets ordering that. The fish soup was more like tomato soup with fish pieces in it. Perhaps the cook can try create something different with this?
My brother-in-law ordered a hamburger and said it was delicious. View from the external deck seatings are wonderful as you see the fishing village of Urk and boats coming and going. Altogether a lovely place for lunch and I am sure the ambience would be great at night as well.
