The Anchorage Yacht Club has opened again with new management, new staff and a new bar/restaurant menu. It is probably the only bar in the world where you can enjoy a drink safely while being circled by sharks!
Finding exceptional food on this island is hard to come by so one must lower standards. Staff nice. Food presented well. The fries appeared to be either re cooked or the oil is getting over used but I find this a common way here. This is a poor island and we were happy eating here. Just don't expect food like at home and u will be fine. After all one does not go to these Islands for the food.

it is a bar restaurant realized in maldivian style with two separated structures. Between the structures there is a nice swimming pool. The bar is a lounge bar with couches and armchairs. We have a wi fi, TV and a private dock for the customer. The establishment is surrounded from a green yard and the bush in a side and from a beautiful beach in the other side. The sunsets are absolutely magical.
What an amazing experience. The food was simply stunning! The service at the restaurant was great, too, and the bar they were a bit slow, but, the drinks were delicious. We have stopped at many highly recommended restaurants on our trip from Martinique to Grenada. The Aqua was clearly the best!
While Chris Doyle's report on anchoring in the bay may scare yachts away, we had a very good hold with the anchor and can highly recommend the bay as well as the Aqua Restaurant.
It's a hidden gem!
We can only hope that more people will discover this place as it need more visitors to stay in business... Maybe they should consider putting moorings in the bay. It's a great bay, just a little windy, but safe to anchor. For foodies in the Grenadines this is a MUST!

Big Citi Grill is no longer in operation, we have moved to Carriacou, Grenada and our new name is Callaloo Restaurant @ The Mermaid Beach Hotel. See you there
Being from the United States, a vacation in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines provided me an opportunity to explore its beautiful, exotic, tropical Islands. Despite the great time I experienced during my visit, I struggled with adjusting to the foods indigenous to the region. This...MoreThank you Tim for the review. Our first trip to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) brought us to Chatham Bay, Union Island, where we were first approached by Seckie in his brightly colored speedboat. He was not pushy like the other "boat boys" and had his catch of the day on hand for us to see. He approached us very warmly and invited us to his beach bbq rather than hassling us and trying to pressure us to come.
Once ashore at Sun beach and Eat, we met Vanessa, who greeted us as if we were family. She prepared all the family-style dishes while Seckie grilled the protein. The food is delicious, authentic, island-style and Vanessa and Seckie treat you like family, as if you are dining at their home.
None of the beach bbqs at Chatham are intended to be upscale (save the new resort, Aqua that recently opened in the past 3 years). The idea here is to really get a feel for the culture. This is homestyle, rustic, low-key and fun. You'll generally find people who bareboat or sail their own boats here, as there are only a few establishments at this anchorage and it doesn't easily accommodate the hordes of patrons of the larger cruise ships. This is for those who want a genuine experience and don't mind being off the beaten path.
We have been visiting Vanessa and Seckie for several years now, and when my husband wanted to surprise me with a vow renewal ceremony, Seckie and Vanessa went all out. They created an arbor of island flowers for us to stand beneath and decorated the tables and went the extra mile with food, fun and games! It was incredible!
We are always last to leave Sun Beach and Eat because we love to visit with Seckie and Vanessa and laugh heartily. We've rung in the New Year with Seckie and Vanessa and our son even proposed to his fiancee there. They've become great friends and even call to check in with us from time to time throughout the year.
If you're looking for China, crystal and the like, forget it. But if you're looking for great food in a fun, family-like environment and truly want to be carefree- this is the place to be! Seckie and Vanessa will welcome you wholeheartedly and take good care of you!

Restaurant & bar with wide menu offer dishes of the traditional italian cooking included a very good pizza, local caraibic cooking and international cooking. Good the wine selection with wine from Chile, California, Australia and Italy. We have also fast food: burger, chicken and fries, fish and fries, Sandwich for snack or brunch. Our bar serve a wide selection of cocktails I.B.A.
We ate here on one of our overnights in the bay. The lady who served us had a very cheerful attitude and was attentive enough, but gave us our space. My husband had the pork chop and I had a tomato and basil pasta. Both dishes were good and a reasonable price. They offered free WiFi and the connection was good.

We stayed at David's Beach Hotel and this is right next door (we literally walked 10 metres, carrying our baby's high chair between the two places!). Good food (try the sea urchin) and a good vibe.

snacks were great, service was excellent and being almost in the middle of the market & main street brought this experience to life. We stopped off at the Snack Shack for a few beers and were very impressed with the menu range. We were surprised and happy with the food. Great value.

We stayed there in April 2015 and made fast directly in front of the restaurant at the mooring. The bar had a quite low selection of drinks. We ordered a menu for 24 people. The food took longer than an hour until it was served. the stuff was friendly. Although it was a big party at that day in Clifton (easter monday) we were the only guests.
At the other side of the restaurant in direction to the main road they also have a supermarket with moderate prices.

The Loft is a Wine and Tapas Bar on Union Island in St Vincent and the Grenadines. Our aim is keep all things simple. A relaxed, informal atmosphere inspired by travels in Europe. Cured meats and cheeses direct from Italy form the backbone of the menu that is a collection of plates to be enjoyed singularly with a glass of wine or combined to create something more substantial. Call it Tapas, call it Bar Snacks, call it Dinner - no rules, just tasty fresh homemade food to accompany the good wine, beer, cocktails and conversation. To put it simply, The Loft - Lime on Free Time is the kind of place we want to relax in when we are not working - comfortable with good music, wine, beer and food. The bar offers various wines by the glass for you to sample and enjoy and more by the bottle plus beers, excellent cocktails and soft drinks. We use all of our wine tasting/buying skills to find great value and interesting wines. Enjoy! All our food is fresh so therefore some dishes may not be available due to non-availability of produce in the Islands
A very nice, clean and reasonably priced restaurant. Not so "local" lot's of excellent appetizer choices. Awesome view of the harbor from the loft style patio. Very stylish
