Mousata (Greek: Μουσάτα) is a village in the municipal unit of Leivatho on the island of Cephalonia, Greece. It is situated between Mount Ainos and the Ionian Sea, at about 200 m elevation. It is 2 km northwest of Vlachata, 4 km east of Peratata and 12 km southeast of Argostoli. The road from Poros to Argostoli passes through the village. Mousata suffered great damage from the 1953 Ionian earthquake.

This is a cut above most of the other restaurants here, with the owner showing her attention to style, detail, quality and sheer friendliness of welcome. We came on a wet and almost cold night when the outdoors was closed, but the view and setting on a sunny day must be top rate. Starters were excellent. I think we ordered wrongly for mains, getting the two biggest steaks ever seen (due to being fed up with the same old routine in all of the other restaurants) - but whilst they appeared great at first, they didn't have anything like the quality you'd get with something like a florentine steak in Italy. Other diners mainly had fish, all of which looked very good indeed. So it's five stars for the sheer quality of the restaurant, for the welcome and service, and for the pleasure of dining here.

Cafe bar in village centre, Lourdas
As a member of CAMRA (the British real ale group) I was thrilled when we found this quirky little place. The guy's ale knowledge is impressive as is his collection of treddle sewing machines and weighing scales. Nice to be able to drink something with taste as opposed to the usual cold gassy Mythos etc.

Opening 1st of MAy...
I was delighted to find this tastefully designed beach bar / taverna. Situated on the beach with an attractive modern bar area and white stone taverna it was refreshingly different but totally appropriate.
The food was slightly more than you would normally pay for this fare and rather small portion sizes but good fresh ingredients. The staff were nice and the manager seemed committed and capable.
Sadly it was entirely frequented by UK holiday makers at the time we visited, some of whom were loud and unpleasant.
Aside from the clientele who are beyond anyone's control, this is a beautiful location and a delightful place to eat, drink, swim and sunbathe.

We visited Muses having been here many times on our holidays in Lourdas. Unfortunately Muses is only open late on Friday nights. We enjoyed cocktails and milkshakes and lovely Nadia treated us to a lemon liquor. Service and Gardens are excellent as always.

I have been visiting for years, and it never changes, from a very warm welcome, with iced water, to the terrific setting, not to mention the food. The home made food is to die for, we had drinks and cheesecake, which was so good, it spoiled our dinner. I can recommend both the black cherry cheesecake, and the baked pear cheesecake, both stunning, if somewhat large!

We ate here on the recommendation of our hotel receptionist and were not disappointed but not wowed either. The food is good basic Greek cooking. I tried the 'traditional' meat pie which was tasty but enormous with perhaps too much pastry. Adding chips to the plate seemed something of a carb overload really.
If you think that wasting food is wrong then you'll either explode of feel slightly guilty when you leave.
The atmosphere on the main Terrace seemed quite buzzy but we were given a table on the balcony area at the back which is quieter. The views over the valley were great but the smell of grilling meat took the edge off the ambience. I'm not a veggie and the whiff of a chop on charcoal is a lovely thing but this was the full output of the kitchen extractor fans so considerably less appealing. Sit on the Terrace.
The service was friendly if not speedy and we felt welcome but sadly it just wasn't our best restaurant experience of the trip.

Gefiri features a great menu with lots of options, even for the picky teen-agers!
The traditional Greek menu is supplemented with a fabulous pizza selection.
The steak was enormous, it filled the plate and it wasn't a small plate!
Seating outside was spacious with a great view of the mountain Ainos. The chilled red wine worked very well but the beer was great as well!
We thought the food was well worth the ten minute walk, highly recommended!

Original Greek Grill House! We grill fresh meat on real charcoals the time you order it! Limited menu to be always fresh for you. If you like gyros you should try our KONTOSOUVLI! Thank you!
Just returned from Kefalonia for a week and during our stay in Trapezaki the 5 of us visited this restaurant 3 times. Each time the food was as fantastic as the last and we had some of the best meals we had ever eaten here! The owner and all of his staff are absolutely fantastic, they do everything they can for you and are attentive and friendly. The owner explains all of the specials in detail, how they are cooked and what he recommends, the specials are unbelievable! From the specials we had Lamb Kleftico- our favourite, Pork special which is cooked for 4 hours and so beautiful, another Lamb special, Swordfish ( the biggest piece of sword fish we have ever seen) and several others! The dishes from the main menu are fantastic too, we didn't have a single bad meal! For desserts, we had an amazing cheesecake, Greek yoghurt with honey and chocolate soufflés! Thank you so much Veramente, hopefully see you next year!

Very friendly service. Great place to go and watch the world go by on the square.
Good draught beer just right on a hot day.Plenty of other choices and always free crisps, nuts, breadsticks etc. A welcome addition to Spartia.
