I visited here with my parents on Friday. Despite it being a snowy evening with icy roads, the restaurant was still relatively busy. The food, as always, was superb. I had a pizza and this is as good as you will find in Italy, lovely,...MoreHello we would just like to say thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely review and glad to be able still to have been open through those horrendous weather conditions Looking forward to seeing you all again Bar aldos and team

Cafe des Fleurs is at the heart of the local community in the lovely village of Dollar. Now in our tenth year of business, we are renowned for our delicious fresh food, great coffee and home baking, all produced daily and beautifully served by the Famous CDF Girls! Visitors are always impressed by our original quirky interior, unusual wallpaper and vintage style artefacts curated over the years by the owners Ainslie and Carole. We are open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings - our 3 course menu changes weekly and showcases the versatility and pedigree of our experienced Head Chef Campbell Cameron. Our evening customers can also bring their own bottle(s) of wine - a small corkage charge applies.
Went for dinner on Saturday evening 11 November – four of us. Simply outstanding. Staff, service, food and environment were faultless. The attention to detail (service as well as food) and the friendly buzz in the restaurant made us feel very welcome. Most of the tables were full. The menu changes a bit I think … our starters were scallops, salmon and goats cheese. All delicious and the scallops were perfectly seared on the outside, but not overcooked in the middle – best I’ve eaten in a long time. Mains were pheasant, thai veg curry, steak and salmon. Again, the meat and fish were perfectly cooked and the vegetables had a good bite. All dishes were full of flavour and the presentation was to a very high standard. A fantastic evening … many thanks!

While staying at Duchally, near Gleneagles,a friend recommended Harviestoun as the place to go to celebrate a birthday with a nice lunch. She wasn't wrong - it was a lovely meal! The staff were very friendly, and brought colouring books for our four year old. Menu was a nice variety, to cater for all appetites, and the food came in good time. I must say that the kids meal was of very good quality, and at under a fiver, it was exactly what a parent wants to see on the menu. As others have said, the steak pie is worth a mention, but all mains were excellent. After a rest, we chose to look at the dessert menu… glad we did! ALL desserts were to die for! The lemon meringue pie was served warm and was DELICIOUS! The sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles were also particularly delicious. So glad we chose here, and we'll certainly be returning here next time we're within a hour of the place. Delighted to have found it!

A fantastic night out with family. Mainly buffet style service with excellent service and real quality meals. The food served for 7 adults a 2 kids was really good.
Started with several platters of starters, pompadoms, sauces, all served quickly and efficiently. The mains with rice and nans were again served on time and with no fuss. Real value for money even with several drinks included. Great night.

Family run fully licensed Restaurant serving up good wholesome food in acontemporary setting. Open seven days from 12.00 noon. Last food ordersat 8.30 PM.
I have been here a few times for both lunch and dinner. Always a great service from the staff. Very friendly and nothing is a problem for them. Food great quality and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit. Only improvement I would suggest is if you have a gift voucher you must always say at the beginning of the meal. I do not see why this is case as a gift voucher is the same as paying with cash and I forgot to mention once and they would not take at the end of the meal.
