Brought American friends to visit as I know and like the beer and thought it would be nice to visit. But the service was close to being rude - no welcome, not even acknowledgement that we were waiting for table, food too salty and quite indifferent. Beers still great though it would have been nice to get a little introduction (and yes I can read and it was done in the beer menu, but still ...)

Limfjordens Hus is situated just at the tip of Glyngøre Harbour so you have a wonderful view over Limfjorden to the island Mors. And the interesting view always changes depending of weather, season and time of the day.
Food i excellent and off course a big part of the menu is fish and seafood so close the the fjord. The service personel is kind and professional.
During weekends the restaurant often offer buffet at a low price where you can taste a lot of different dishes.

The food exceeded my expectations, it was really delicious and very fresh! The service was discreet and couldn´t be faulted, and the decor was really modern retro chic! Very close to the town centre, and reasonably priced considering the high all round quality! Will be back!

This is truly one of the places where even the locals come. Food produced with local ingredients, and reasonably priced. If you're in the area, you've got to visit Stenbjerg Kro (Stonemountain Inn). The dlounder was very well prepared - with plenty of butter - just like mom used to.

The breakfast is very basic. The only warm food was soft boiled eggs - but they were perfect. Good bread, fresh fruit, and clean and tidy. What's not to like?

Welcome to Fiskehuset. Every day, Fiskehuset has fresh fish from the sea, freshly smoked fish from our own smokehouse, organic fish, "THY-Herring", the "THY-Sausage", and other delicious homemade specialities. We also carry products from farm shops and other producers, such as meat, vegetables, shrimps, Cavi-art, eggs, cheese, chutneys, oils, flour, honey, and much more. Much of it is organic and from local producers.

We have a casual restaurant with a great view of the quiet harbour and Limfjord. At lunch time, a la carte fish dishes are served (and also a little meat). Try our famous "stjerneskud", made from fresh plaice fillets pan fried in organic butter and steamed in white wine. At night, a large luxurious buffet with fish, shellfish, and a little meat is available. Everything is homemade from fresh fish.

Weather permitting, outside tables with or without shade are available - the view is even better there :-)

Check out our opening hours and menus on our website.
We had dinner at Fiskehuset Thisted. It was busy yet there was a relaxed atmosphere, and service with a smile. At dinner they only have their fish buffet which
is 199kr pr person. At lunch you can choose between a variety of dishes. The fish is super fresh and many of the dishes are 'home-smoked'. The selection was vast. We would definitely recommend this place if you are in the area.

Great experience Saturday evening. Came with limited expectations - left impressed. We sampled the filets, they were delicious, tender and cooked close to perfection. One of us tried the salmon, same positive outcome. Our meals were accompanied by the house IPA - it was OK but not spectacular. The service was charming and attended well to detail. This was the spot for Saturday evening.

In Klitmøller there are 4 dining options. 1 is a smokery (didn't try this) but is an outside picnic table kind of joint.... 2 is an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet "Niels Jung or something" (didn't try this), is an inside and outside restaurant, but can be very crowded.... a pizzajoint (we ordered a few times to pick-up and eat at home, 10-15 min from ordering to pick-up; mediocre pizza but cheep (pizza range from 60-80, family size 100-120....) and this joint. [I believe there is a simple hot dogs and fries by the seafood and smokery joint as well - closed for late dinner in our season at least).
Conrad is by far the finer restaurant of the four. White tabelcloths, nice folded napkins, grapes hanging from the roof, a-la-carte menu, bread basket. Several wine options... First time we both had fish which was OK, but the second time we opted for meat, and it was delicious. Really tender and accompanied by varied and accompaning flavors. The presentation of the plates make it all the more delicious - our friends had first courses (including chef's choice of 10 tapas).
We only had a main course (which was enough), but I believe their 3 courses set menu are priced a little over 300 per person. 2 course set menu is priced under 300 kroner per person. We ordered two main courses (both meat), a glass of red wine (85) a specialty beer all priced for a little over 600. Their wine by the glass range from 56-85kr), and they have cheeper options for main course such as a pasta dish or the fish of the day, as well as for beer on tap.
I had the lamb with gordonza cheese, prepared with oven roasted vegetables and a red wine sauce. Had the chef's wine of choice by glass to accompany it. My boyfriend had the veal with shrimp, garlic bread and oven roasted vegetables. Accompanied by beer brewed in Thisted.
We were there in mid-august (end of season) and a few of the tables were reserved. I would call to reserve in high-season. They are closed on Mondays, and from october to february. Opened only on weekends in march and september. Check or call the place to confirm.
Definetly worth trying in the beginning of your stay.
If you finish before 22:00, go next door and finish the meal with a hugh Conrad special ice cream. The great way to eat ice cream in Danmark - with a chocolate spunge cookie and pink fluff :)
Info: The restaurant does not allow for dogs (but you can sit outside). Is non-smoking. There are two floors seperated by stairs, and the bathroom is located underground (accessed by stairs).
They also have a TAKE AWAY menu.

I went to the restaurant because everything seemed closed in town on a Tuesday evening in January ... The restaurant is very cozy but also nearly empty that evening. Food maybe a bit pricey (around 200 kr for main courses) I chose French steak and it was a simple serving with different vegetables and garlic butter but everything cooked perfectly - and it tasted very nice and the service was very kind and attentive. Just was a needed on a cold evening!
