The Gardenia at the Fern Residency is deemed to be the best restaurant in Tezpur. We were on our way back from Nameri and stopped here for Lunch. The staff was very hospitable, the food was also very delicious with a great view of the laws, however the service was very not very great. We had to wait for the food for almost 40 minutes and moreover there was no one dedicated to the table, different people came at different times to do the service. End of the dinner after paying with my card, they did not return by Credit Card and upon enquiring they said that they have returned, later it was found lying on the reception and no one was even apologetic about it. Will think about visiting again.

This place offers good food and maintains it quality as many army. Airforce officers and mostly their wives visits this place. We have been going to this place every time we come to Tezpur. The spread in third menu is varied and we tried several things. However things like burger, pizza etc. are not at per if you are used to eat these in places like Delhi, Gurgaon kolkata etc. The staff is polite and knows about the food and preparation.They also have a bar which I never visited.

We just happened to be on the road from Tezpur to Kaziranga when we saw the Dhaba made from Bamboo and on stilts of Bamboo. The colourful appearance and location were the initial attraction. On checking online we found that the place was listed as one of the top 10 Dhaba of India. Being vegetarians we could not try their local specialities such as duck and pigeon but the mushrooms and paneer preparations were really good. Must visit for any one in Tezpur and can be clubbed with the visit to the impressive Kalia Bhomora Setu or boating in Brahmaputra.

The Indian cuisine is very nice specially the mutton. Would recommend the hotel specially for lunch when it is populated by youngsters from around town.

Good ambience, prompt service and quality for money is what you get in this restaurant. Must try the Assamese thali, the Karbi thali along with pork in bamboo shoot. Finish off with any pastry of your choice or the Arabian sweet.

It is one of the best Restaurant in Assam where you will get actual assamese food and in abundant quantity. Every serving person will pour your 'thali' with abundant quantity of food be it dal rice and other dishes. The prices you can say cheap. Although you will not get great ambience here the food is not comparable to any restaurant. You will agree with me if you visit this restaurant for a single time at least. Try Assames thali with Duck and other local fish.
