The Borbaratok (Wine-lovers’) Inn and Pension is situated on Romai (Roman) Street, on the slopes of Mount Badacsony, a couple of minutes away from the centre of Badacsonytomaj.
You can taste the Hungarian dishes and other specialties of our chefs on the garden Terrace of the restaurant, at tables under thatched roofs. With the excellent food, we offer noble wines selected with a special care.
Our family has produced grape and wine for generations, currently on 10 hectares. We cultivate excellent varieties of the Badacsony: Welschriesling, Muller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris and Muscat. If the weather is suitable, we also produce ice wine. It is only here that you can taste the Badacsonyi Urmos (Badacsony Vermouth), prepared according to the 200-year-old recipe of Roza Szegedy. We mature our wines in wooden casks using a reductive technology and, since 1999, we have been selling them also in bottles. We gladly show our cellar and bottling plant to our customers and consumers.
The Borbaratok Pension offers 6 double rooms to its guests. Extra beds can be added in the rooms, and each has a shower, a toilet and satellite TV. We serve your breakfast in our restaurant or garden and, on request, we can also provide half or full board.
The house is situated 150 m away from the beach of Lake Balaton and 300 m away from the church and village centre of Tomaj.

Waiter is quit unpolite, and wanted more tip than I offered so he kept the change.
Do not try the coffee. Over burnt and over extracted with too hot water.
A pincér bunkó. A hídon nem engedett előre bennünket. Ezerhatszáz forintos fogyasztásnál 100 forinttal kevesebbet adott vissza, min amennyi borravalót mondtam.
A kávégép rosszul van beállítva, tipikus kamionos kávé (tűzforró, keserű).

The iconic Hungarian restaurant high on Badacsony hill
Location is great. Nice view on the lake and vineyards.
staff is polite and very fast (sometimes too fast)
Food is good, but I they give a a 'big' fishsoup with only a few peace of fishmeat and the price is above the average.

Being Irish, the wet cabbage and pork appealed to me..not even Granny made it this good! The staff were friendly and prompt. I am definitely going to return to this very small place.

Staff is very nice and kind. Perfect choice for Balaton-journey. Opposite site of the street there is a castle and an arboretum garden. (Szigligeti Alkotóház és Arborétum)

Our long-awaited visit to this winery was a huge disappointment. No member of the famous Istvándy family showed up during dinner time, and the employees looked right through us. Despite our order had been taken with a smartphone, my main course was forgotten. Bread was of very poor quality, half-dry tesco kind, and no butter, fat or oil was served with the cold meat plate. After 20 minutes and asking for it 3 times, we got olive oil in a tiny bowl, and were charged extra fee for "extra vegetable". When we complained, the waiter told us he "cannot see into our head" and rudely cursed at the guests who came that day. This is definitely not what I'd call "bottled elegance" and it's a shame for the otherwise fabolous surroundings.

There are more than 200 Lipot pekseg shops throughout Hungary. Headquarters is in Lipot where you can go and view the bread and pastries being produced. It is always fresh and made using traditional methods. We would look out for the shops as we travelled around Hungary either enjoying breakfast, lunch or a coffee and treat there. It is owned by a Hungarian family who all work to provide a quality product. We highly recommend a visit.

I visited this facility with my little family and some friend who are having 2-3 years old kids too.
The facility and food is good, I rate it 4 stars, but staff was very rude (max 2 stars) especially with the little kids, therefore I cannot recommend them for family with little kids.
If your only expectation is good food, feel free to go there. If you also expect to be treated reasonable, then skip this place.
Average rating, 3 stars.

My dinner was very fine again. They made some mistakes with both the drink and the meal but they handled the complaint politely. The dice shuffling for free dinner is still fun and a unique idea. Last year I had dinner on their floating Terrace too but I did not like it as the continuous movement made me dizzy a lit.

Cute little place, with very friendly and attentive staff, the food was delicious. We have had a lunch twice here, everything we have ordered was delicious. If I remember correctly they have no air conditioning in door, so in the summer the place was a bit warm (but not unbearably hot)
