Situated on the Ina River it is the capital of Stargard County and since 1999 has been in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship; prior to that it was in the Szczecin Voivodeship (1975–1998). This is one of the biggest towns of Szczecin agglomeration. Stargard is a major railroad junction, where the southwards connection from Szczecin splits into two directions - one towards Poznań and the other towards Gdańsk. There is also another minor line to Pyrzyce from the town.

The first time I entered this restaurant I was amazed by the hand painted wall Muriel of a cobbled stone path with people sat eating in perspective. The restaurant has a great decor with a running water Fountain at the entrance with an abundance of plants and shrubs along side a sheltered al' fresco eating area. The staff are very welcoming as are the owners.
There is a wide choice of food on the menu albeit in Polish but it is easy to work out as many of the names are well known such as Margharita, Funghi and Quattro Formaggio. As well as Pizza there are Pasta meals, Salads and also tradional Polish meals of which my favourite is Golonka Gotowana (which is pork knuckle boiled in water with herbs and spices then served with roast potatoes and a side salad) All this can be washed down with a nice cold glass of Bossman beer (locally produced in Sczcecin, Poland) there are also other beverages such as Tea, Coffee and wine including soft drinks and fruit juice.
If you happen to be there during any sporting events such as the Euro they have large TVs inside and outside to sit and watch while you enjoy your meal and drinks.
The Pizza here I must warn you is amazing, I enjoy my Pizza and have eaten at many of the top restaurants and the Pizzeria Sicilia Pizza is the best I have ever tasted, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, Pizza express has nothing on these Pizzas. All the Pizzas here are hand made to order with their own Pizza Dough with their own secret recipie. No two Pizzas are the same other than the great taste.
There is Seating inside and outside, in the outside Seating area there is a fish pond and more greenery.
If you are travelling to Poland make this place one of your places to visit, Stargard is a beautiful city to visit with its vast open parks, historical value and transport links from Szczecin or Poznań.
They are on Facebook just search for their name or visit their website, I will be visiting every time I go to Poland the only negative I can think of is they do not deliver to the UK however they do deliver locally for free and charge a small amount outside of Stargard.
Families are welcome and they also cater for parties and other functions.
The prices are very low, a 6" Pizza costs around £1, 12" Pizza around £2 and an 18" for around £5. The drinks are also very good value where a pint of beer is around £1

Came here for a hot drink in the cold weather but couldn't resist a cocktail after looking at the menu!! Lots of choice and was delicious. Would also recommend the hot apple cake which is a perfect winter indulgence.

OK, the Pizzas are not like in Tuscany, but were decent!
The waitresses English was limited but were very cute
Furthermore.... They had a nice Terrace, very friendly staff and great value for money food. We ate with 8 persons 8 pizzas and drinks and paid 182 PLN, which is around 44 Euro, that is a bit more than 5.5 Euro PP. Can you believe it!!
Definetely worth a try

A large group of us came into Stargard to find a place for dinner and decided on Korona after seeing the reviews, taking a look at the menu and seeing the restaurant itself.
The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the little patio would make for a romantic meal spot, the service was spot on and the prices themselves were good as well.
When it came to the meals themselves, the food was exceptional and the portions were huge. Everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly and any of us would come back again and recommend the restaurant to other people.
The one small note I would make that the server possibly didn't know how to make a proper martini as the two of us who ordered one just got a martini glass full of vermouth with ice in it - but that is only a small drop compared to how great everything else was.

If you wanna try some inexpensive, Polish food head there and enjoy pierogi (Polish speciality). They have different kinds with different fillings, you can mix them so you'll be able to try more than one taste! The place is small and unprenetious. You wanna eat like a local try it out!

Very friendly staff and ambience! One of the best pizzas i have ever eaten! An authentic pizza dough, the right amount of fresh tomato sauce, cheese and toppings make an outstanding pizza that is a pleasure to eat.

Stargard is one of the oldest and the most beautiful towns in West Pomerania, Poland.
Here, in very nice and quiet part of the down town, you can find the oldest local Pizzeria – “Pizzeria u Jana”.
Locally, our Pizzeria is very well known with its "Pizza Stargardzka" which means Stargard's Pizza. However this dish is called “Pizza”, after you see it for the first time on the plate, you can be a bit confused, because it looks completely different than well known around the world - Italian style pizza.
Pizza Stargardzka consists of thick, baked cake with different ingredients (depend on your wish), a lot of home-made tomato sauce on top and some vegetable decoration on it.
This famous dish is produced in our pizzeria according to very unique recipe since late 80's.
Apart from famous Pizza Stargardzka, in our menu you will find classic, thin pizzas, different kind of pastas, fresh tasty salads, main courses and soups.
From 2017 "Pizzeria u Jana" belongs to www.culinary-heritage.com
This place after it's been renovated is just stunning! The pizza is more then you expect and at the same time something completely different! I bet pizza there will be positive surprise for any pizza lover visiting this place! I love the home made tomato...MoreThank you for your nice commet. It will be great pleasure for us to host you again in our pizzeria.
