We had a nice stay here during our tour do the local mini-brewery (200m away). I was admiring the way they've built all the rooms in the historical building not destroying the original feel. I didn't have an oportunity to dine there, but breakfast was nice as expected as well as the people running the inn. Recomended.

We came by accident, but visiting Vimperk next time we would surely come again. The minibrewery with a restaurant in a reconstructed medieval house offers excellent beer and tasty food to match, but most importantly, we had a feeling of hospitality offered by enthusiastic and wonderful people. It is not far from the main road (No. 4). Parking is better at the square or near the river crossing.

Pizzerie Marco is located in the historical center of the town of Vimperk. There is a parking lot right in front of the restaurant as well as a Terrace, which is pleasant to sit on in summertime. The historical cellar of the former municipal brewery with vaulted rooms and an individually furnished interior will intensity a great time spent with delicious Italian cuisine. The total capacity of the pizzeria is 60 seats
We came here as there weren't many places open in Vimperk and I am a vegetarian and this seemed our best bet for finding something without meat. It is standard italian restaurant fare, similar to what you would find in the uk - a choice of pizzas, pastas, risottos, salads, a few starters and a few desserts. The waitress spoke Czech and German. The menu had the dishes named in Italian and then explained in Czech and German. We ordered two different pasta dishes - one with mushroom and one with broccoli. The portions were large, I couldn't finish mine. The quality was fine but nothing outstanding and I found the cream a bit much about halfway through. That said, it did the job and it was also cheap - two mains and two bottles of water for just under £8.00. They gave a complimentary orange sweet at the end which was very refreshing. I would eat here again. They also have their own parking.

Sports and recreation complex Vodnik - Waterman located in the beautiful Sumava - Bohemian Forest, prepared for you accommodation in newly furnished two-bedroom cottages with fully equipped kitchen and toilet. For a pleasant leisure of parents and children a new In- line skating (in the winter cross-country), children's playground and restaurant Vodnik playground with a children's menu has been prepared. Throughout the year we organized Cultural Calendar - burning witches, children's day, sports events, kite flying and summer open-air cinema and other events. You can rowing and fishing in our pond. Come to spend a wonderful holiday full of fun.
After peeping into all Vimperk's restaurants, we have chosen Vodnik and it was really good choice. Romantic place with Terrace over small pond was very nice in late summer, our children appreciated the wooden playground and well maintained lawn area. We had an excellent food...MoreThank you very much for your opnion!

Restaurant in a strategic location for output to Boubin Mountain. Comfortable Seating in the outdoor garden. At the end of the tourist season limited selection on the menu, but enough to satisfy the appetite and hunger. Serving great portions of food, generous garnish of fresh vegetables. Wine Cabernet Sauvignon from Chateau Valtice was very tasty also for consumers wines from Bordeaux.
Friendly staff only with knowledge of German, due for primarily German clientele does not mind.
It would be appropriate to resolve sufficient separate areas for smokers and non-smokers.

The place where is the cafe and its facilities negatively surprise. But cakes and coffee are really good. Everything is too expensive. The owner is very confident, she was very succesful woman, but now she has her coffee shop in the village and should be enjoyable and modest. It is only rock and roll. Her husband is a funny person.
Simply professional cakes and amateurish coffee shop

This is probably the best restaurant in the village. Staff can speak English and the menu is pretty modern. Food is well presented and cheap by Western standards, drinks too. Half litre of Pilsner Urquell about €2

Nebespán café is a nice a stylish french restaurant and café with high quality of gastronomy. We have french chef and our own pastry chef. You can also have nice breakfast and we serve delicious café and cakes. In the summer you can eat on the Terrace with nice view to the historical square and Mountains.
If you happen to be to this forgotten country, it is must to visit this caffe. This caffe is superior to most of similar places even compare to Prague or Vienna. Try baked tea, espresso or any of home-made sweets or marmelade. Very nice and friendly service.

The very good experience. They are ready for a family with children, have well assembled menu. The good quality food, the best baby food /fish and chips/ in the restaurant during the last three weeks. Very interesting selection of wines and beers.
The staff is in a good shape, except it is a teenage girl who is out of place.
I can recommend

Early in May, this was the only restaurant open in Antýgl or Rokyta. And they probably knew it since the food should have been priced at cca 1/3 less to provide an average value for money ratio.
I had the typical Czech meal "Svíčková + bread dumplings": the dumplings and sauce were about average, the meat awfull (difficult to cut and eat). My daughter ate roasted duck with bread dumplings and red cabbage. The duck was okay, the cabbage full of fat (I mean it literally floated in oil).
