The food in this place was excellent but the service was... well... confusing! When we walked in we were greeted by a young man who asked if we had reserved. I said we had and gave my name. I gave it to him and he asked for my surname. I told him I only reserved under my first name. He looked... perturbed, slightly annoyed, but found our table. It took a while for anyone to notice us but eventually we ordered from the one of the host of pretty waitresses, all dressed in Austrian costume. We had a lovely meal and things only started to go wrong when we ordered dessert. I had seen a plate pass the table with a small sample of 3/4 desserts on it, and asked if this was something they could do, a single portion of mixed desserts, to share with my daughter. They said yes. Great! So we ordered it. When it came it was HUGE, like the size of 3 desserts. I called our waitress over and asked if this was really only one dessert, and she said yes, it was just a bit larger as some things (like tiramisu' in a glass) could not really be divided. But when the bill came, predictably. we had been charged for 3 desserts. We didn't make a fuss as the food was good but as the waiter cleared our (empty!) plate he said: "Ït wasn't too large to finish huh?" You know what? Being stung for 3 desserts and mocked on top of it means I won't go back here, however good the food.

Great bakery location for coffee and pasteries
Obauer is a nice enough place, very small but that is to its credit. The only negative is a rather limited selection of cakes and pastries, but the coffee is good and the service if friendly. Sitting outside on a warm summers morning with a croissant and coffee is a perfect start to the day, mind your head on the way in!

We visited this restaurant for the third year in a row and were again not disappointed. We had the traditional roast goose with beautifully prepared red cabbage and bread dumpling, plus wine, dessert and coffee. Friendly and courteous staff made the visit particularly enjoyable. High quality food at a very reasonable price (€66 for the two of us on Christmas Day).

Expensive cult place with superb steaks. Speciality is steak for 2 - highly recommend. Good wine list. Overall food is tending to Italian, all was good, but not as meat. Has its own parking. Takes only cash.

We ate dessert outside, which was fantastic. Sitting there, within a relaxed atmosphere and wonderful surroundings only added to the wonderful food. While I tried the chocolate-coffee tiramisu and enjoyed it, it was a bit tart for me, due to the mixed berries. The apple strudel was very nice, and two in our party had the lemon sorbet with strawberries, which they both enjoyed very much so. This is not a cheap restaurant, so be prepared for that.

Stopped here for morning tea and was delighted by the beautiful homemade cakes and breathtaking views. Had apple strudel and cream and it was delicious. Heard the schnitzel was good but didn't try it. Reasonable prices. Worth stopping if nearby.
