Never been to an Indian restaurant that didn’t serve samosas however always a first. We have had better curries but a reasonable attempt. Recommended for a change.

Expensive but the best restaurant in town. Escargot and fillet steak which my son said the best steak he had even eaten.

This was another work related dining experience. It has an enjoyable atmosphere and nice view. The food was buffet meat, potatoes and rice. Nothing spectacular but tasty. I am not sure if they have Al Cart menu but if they do it will be worth trying.

Casa Mia offers a menu with a variety of pasta dishes, steaks, pork and chicken inspired from the European continent. We import our seafood directly from the coast of South Africa and Mozambique. Our menu also includes some of the best steaks available in Malawi . The restaurant is well situated in a quiet suburb close to Blantyre city center and has accommodation and conferencing facilities.

Infront of Twiga Lounge Club
Food is always good - but not exceptional - they unfortunately do not use cloth serviettes like they used to - now using the cheapest thinnest paper ones. Winter time - cozy fire. Unfortunately do not make their great chicken liver pate anymore.

We called the hotel ahead to ask for prices and availability. We got to know that it was 60 USD for a double room, which was a bit more than we were expecting, but we thought OK. When we arrived, the receptionist told us that the price was for one person, and two persons is 70 USD. We went to see the room, which was not in a very good state, but it was late, and we had been driving the whole day, so we thought OK. Then the owner came, and told us that the price was 80 USD if the second person wants to have breakfast... I was just laughing by then, but he was serious. Then, calculating the price in Kwacha, he added another 10 percent on the rate, and asked if we wanted a receipt. If we wanted a receipt he would have to add vat, which means another 16.5 per cent. So we went from 60 to over a hundred in a matter of minutes. The location and the pool are nice, but the standard of the room does not nearly justify that price. I recommend you find another place to stay in Blantyre.

In the historic Mandala House together with the historic society and the La Caverna Art gallery and store
The building is fantastic, the craft shop offers a nice selection of art crafts from Malawi and the region. They have also a nice small selection of Blantyre history books. The restaurant is nicely located outside, it is average in menu choices, the service is a bit slow due to the fact that they have few people waiting tables.

Undoubtedly a best Indian vegetarian food joint in the town. Authentic Indian taste, wonderful service with a smiling face make this place most sought after among the Indian restaurants in the town.

In the last year Jungle Pepper and its popular brand has opened another branch in Mulanje naming it the Mulanje Pepper. Mulanje Pepper is situated at the foot of Mulanje Mountain, the country’s premier hiking and rock-climbing destination, popular with residents and tourists alike for its dramatic scenery and well organized and inexpensive facilities. Around mid-July the Mulanje Porters’ Race takes place in Mulanje. It is now an International Event whereby Porters and other entrants race up and down 25km of steep mountain in one of Africa’s maddest and most daunting fitness challenges.Mulanje Pepper has become the visitor and hiker’s oasis, offering the coldest drinks and the most exquisite wood-flavoured pizzas.Visit us and let Mulanje Pepper take you on a trip through the History of the area by the choice of pizza you make! Pizzas have names of historical significance and of interesting places one can visit in Malawi. Mwala wa Mthunzi Pizza, Dziwe La Nkalamba Pizza, Mtenga-Tenga Pizza, Sapitwa Pizza, Timba Pizza, Cedar Pizza, Chiperoni Pizza, Katundu Pizza and off course the Porter's Pizza which has toppings of tasty Portuguese flavoured chicken, green peppers, onions and Cheese. Customers who don’t know what the name refers to, can refer to the back of the Menu where they will find an explanation of what they have ordered. We are recognised by Trip Advisor. Definitely not a standard pizza menu, although you can have a 'standard' one if you really want. Lots of original ideas and local spices and flavours to switch things up from a pizza point of view. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our large group and the pizzas, of course, took a while to come, because they were all cooked over a genuine wood-fired oven. It felt very homely indeed and the pizzas were truly excellent.

Picasso is a very pleasant restaurant for any meal. Went there on a business trip but with some free time, and we needed it as service was a bit slow.
The food was pretty good. They have some choices for fish which is a plus on this landlocked country which makes it my first choice in Blantyre whenever I want to eat it.
