We ate here with 4 family members, having high expectations after Reading TripAdvisor reviews. Staff was friendly and explaining very well as we were not familiar with all items on the menu. Two of us ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and the other two ordered Hirsch and Almochse. There was quite a big difference in the amount of food on the plate and the quality of these meals. The Wiener Schnitzel was OK but not as tasteful as you would expect in this type of restaurant. The Almochse tasted very well but the amount of food was such that I was still hungry after finishing it. The Hirsch was somewhere in between the two other dishes. Due to a mistake in the kitchen these 3 different meals arrived at our desks at different points in time, causing the first one of us finishing only a few minutes after the last one started. Apologies were provided. For dessert three of us took the "Schokolade". The chocolate mousse was too soft and didn't have enough taste. Other items on the plate were very tasteful. Coffee was very good. Hot chocolate was OK but had a hair from a staff member on top of it (!). I got a new hot chocolate but no apologies were provided. In the back of the restaurant renovation actions were ongoing, causing all kinds of sounds you don't want to hear as you are eating. All in all value for money was poor: this was our most expensive dinner during our vacation (we had no wine) and quality of the food was average to very good. Did we have bad luck? Maybe, but on a next visit I will not come here again as better alternatives are available.

Der Tröpolacherhof Hotel & Restaurant is located in the centre of Tröpolach, only 300 m from the Millennium Express Cable Car leading into the Nassfeld Ski Area. The Tröpolacherhof's restaurant serves traditional Carinthian cuisine.
We had lunch twice in this restaurant and it was really great. The Fritaten Suppe was excellent! The food was really Austrian. The service was excellent. Really reccomend.

Unpretentious, right by the border at Nassfeld – Passo Pramollo. Prices far better than on the Austrian side, also the food we tried was a pleasant relaxation (pasta, fish) after our hotel food. All very simple, but service quick, kitchen fast to respond. The place to go to on Nassfeld pass for lunch in winter if a gloomy day denies you the fun of skiing – the place is not right by the slope. Entirely acceptable choice of Italian only wines (northeast for whites, countrywide for reds), their markups user friendly - incredibly low compared to the other side of the border, obviously slightly higher than in the Friuli plains below the Mountains. Recommended, 10+ out of 20 for the culinary impression.

apres ski in cui si mangia una buona pastasciutta, proprio sul confine Italia/Austria a Passo Pramollo - è l'ex sede del controllo passaporti che oggi non c'è più
When entering one does not really feel attracted by its interior but after ordering you'll recognize: wow, this restaurant actually serves very good pizza. We also tried some dolce afterwards which were fine too. I can definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some variation after days of Austrian cuisine.

We stopped for a skiing lunch, two families with four young children. The food is average for such a place but the service is below any standard. First they messed up the order on the details (n
No ketchup please) was dutifully noted but ignored once the food came. Then it turns out the dish for one of the kids was missing. Despite chasing the waitress FOUR times over the next half an hour the fish did not materialize. Each time we received no information beyond the stupefied look of the same waitress that the food did not appear. In the end we fed the child from other plates and left without receiving any apology whatsoever. Avoid as the plague, there are other decent places around.

Real Slovak atmosphere, nice kitchen, draft Pilsner, Slovak staff.
The place is very bussy, reservation is necesarry if you are group more than 6 people.
Interier is too dark, no much fresh air, but the meal is amazing.
Good place go there for a party, but not for family lunch!
I recommend it for groups of friends, don´t look here for peace and quiet!

The surrounding mountain views are spectacular! Most of the guests are there for the excellent cross country skiing (when there is snow) then dine to refuel and warm up. They have daily dishes homemade on the premises. If you get a chance to sample the homemade gnocchi, then do it! The porcini mushrooms are picked locally so if you see a dish with them on the menu I recommend trying it.

When visiting Hermagor and dropping by "Konditorei Semmelrock" for coffee, cake or something light to eat, we always try to select a place at the outdoor tables to watch Hermagor street life. It was our luck that it was always glorious weather. Not this time. It was pouring, so we fled inside. I can tell you, that indoor the restaurant offers a nice, cosy sit-down. The coffee and cake (I had my favorite, Sachertorte) was very good as always. To be recommended.

Tavernetta is a nice and peaceful restaurant and pizzeria located in Pontebba. We offer the local friulanian cusine and the tipical italian food.
Pizzeria La Tavernetta is located around the corner of the main square in Pontebba, Piazza Dante Alighieri, next to the elevated railway line. The front of the establishment is unobtrusive; however, the restaurant building is very elongated, so there is room enough inside. Furthermore, part of the inventory of this pizzeria is a life size wood fired pizza oven. Cold draft beer is also a core business of La Tavernetta; a delicious pizza, made with fresh ingredients and a large draft beer combined to make a satisfactory and easy to digest meal. The service of the staff was polite and hospitable; prices were moderate as can be expected of a local restaurant. Parking spaces free of charge are close by beyond the railway viaduct. To be recommended.
