This restaurant used to have a good reputation in the Annecy area. What a disappointment!!! Not subtle, not inventive and not an honor to the products. The main course (lamb) was not even appealing with its "legumes rafraichis" which were 3 pickled onions. The filet de perche were fried so you barely can taste this fine fish. Service was ok but it is not to the standard of a 5 * place to hear a fight between two employees. And the chef was not very warm when saying goodbye... to say the least.

Terrific food (including the most perfect piece of fish I've ever eaten, an inventive fava and egg appetizer, and to die for strawberry rhubarb desert with melt in your mouth salts butter sables). Attentive and genuinely friendly service. Lovely calm atmosphere. This was a highlight of our trip.

Settled since 1997, Sophie and Patrice CAVORET knew how to make of this place a well known greedy place of the Annéciens. Proud of their experience in gourmet restaurants, they knew how to adapt this knowledge to their atmosphere "Bistro". Sophie welcomes with happiness and smile and will know how to satisfy the amateurs of wines. To be of use to you a cooking of season in fresh products selected with the biggest care, the carte is 4 times changed a year. You will find a colored, flavourful cooking there, in the right cookings. In lunch, a menu of today's special (entrance, fish or meat and choice of dessert) is proposed to you. In dinner, a menu "Return of Market" various every day and a different "Menu-Carte" at every season.
We had a superb meal at Le Bistro du Rhone last evening, beginning with the warm greeting by the owner, Sophie. While awaiting our first course, were treated to amuses bouches , first a rillette de porc, followed by a salmon tartare. Our shrimp tempura...MoreThank you so much for this so kind review ! All our team had a real pleasure to welcoming you ! We are waiting for the pleasure to see you again at LE BISTRO DU RHONE !

Excellent french restaurant
Small but interesting menu that we both found something on which when it arrived was better than we expected. The wines complemented the dishes perfectly and oh what a glass full you get!! It's more like being round at your friends for dinner.
A little gem for lunch and dinner. Arrive, relax and enjoy. You leave feeling pampered.

We just loved this restaurant!!
We had the menu where the chef cooks what he wants for you - simply each course was a delight! They were nice enough to substitute the meat course for me with fish, but my husband had the meat. We both enjoyed every thing that was served - the food is innovative, beautiful and oh so delicious!!
I don't want to show off but we have eaten in some of the top restaurants in Europe, and further afield, and just when you think there is nothing new that is going to come along now this restaurant is a revelation! I even went into the kitchen to meet the charming chef to tell him how much we enjoyed our supper!
If you go to Annercy then eat here - I don't know how anyone could be disappointed. Book early as it is a tiny place. Can't wait to go back.

The Bar of the Port(Bearing) is happy to welcome you to Sévrier, on the lakesides of Annecy.Come to take advantage of our Terrace feet in the water, and of our porch warmed in case of bad weather. This magic frame(executive) between lake and Mountains is simple of access and benefits from an ease of parking lot.
We found this restaurant by chance as we were travelling by small boat around lac Annecy. It has great views and is well set out on the lake shore where we moored the boat. The staff were very accommodating and friendly and thought nothing of changing our wine when we decided on a different one. We chose the set two course menu at 18 euros with a small pichet of rose wine. My rump steak with chips, ratatouille and salad was generous and delicious, and my wife's fried hake likewise. To follow we had lemon meringue pie and pannacotta with a fruit coulis. Probably a tad over generous with the coulis as it overwhelmed the pannacotta but still very good. The meringue pie's pastry could have been lighter and thinner but these are small criticisms. Both came with the ubiquitous pumped cream which the French seem to think is an essential with any dessert. Frankly, I think it cheapens a meal and if cream is supplied it should be just that, cream. Again, a small and general criticism. Overall a very good meal at a reasonable price with very good service. The total price we paid, with one coffee was 53 euros excluding the gratuity

While biking a day around the lake we saw the restaurant La Boussole with the terrasse with a view to the lake. We made a reservation for dinner in the evening .
Evrything looked fine and ok. The dishes were good and the staff was very friendly. It was a nice closure of a nice day. But when the dessert arrived (tiramisu with raspberries) we saw a lot of raspberries which were mouldy! This is a unforgivable mistake. We have had directly another dessert, but the confidence is a bit gone. In the kitchen and also the waitres should have seen that! It 's very pitty, because all the rest was more than ok! So please in the future, look always good to everything what leaves the kitchen area!

Nothing special. Some decent local dishes, good fresh fish (we're on a lake after all), OK-ish pizza. Like everything around Lake Annecy, expensive by the standards of the rest of Europe (except the legendarily expensive UK, which doesn't consider itself part of Europe anyway), even allowing for the high season. The tartiflette was good - as the local dish it should be - but very rich and fatty. The intriguing "fish burger" turned out to be a sort of dry and tasteless distant relative of a UK fish pie. Nice Terrace and set away from the noise of the main road.

Even though the restaurant was closing when we arrived, the staff were still happy to serve us. We had 1 starter which was delicious, bolognese rolled in rice then deep fried, then we both had pizza. The food was good and the service was excellent, the decor was lovely and modern as were the toilets.

Restaurant Une Autre Histoire is open for Tuesday diner and from Wensday to Saturday for lunch and diner. Thanks
Set menu as it was a busy weekend so no choice for vegetarians and haters of foie gras but a main of delicious sea bream made up for this! The dessert was nice and the restaurant kindly added a birthday twist for my daughter turning 7 that day!
The ambience was quiet and relaxed and the staff were not overly warm but polite.
