We actually came twice here. Because of the excellent dinner which we had, we decided to have a late lunch there on the next day.
A typical tourist place with traditional local elements Brauhaus zum Ritter differs with its service, delicious food and spacious Terrace (in good weather). We really had low expectations as usually tourist restaurants always leave you with a bad feeling, but this time we were caught by surprise.
The Terrace is huge and even though it is just tables on the square, it still feels ok to eat there. The food was the main reason why we came here twice. We tried everything from starters, flammkuchsen, schnitzels, even burgers and frankly speaking everything was delicious. Simple, big portions and really delicious.
At such kind of places usually the staff is rude, unattentive and slow, but this time we were totally astonished to have a friendly, quick and caring waiter at a tourist place. This was the third reason why we visited second time.
In conclusion, this place is a must visit for a lunch or dinner after a long and exhausting walk in the Gardens of Schwetzingen!

We were a group of 10 persons, so we could order a wide variety of dishes to share. The meal was delicious - crunchy pakoras, juicy tandoori chicken fresh from the grill, subtly-tantalizing lamb korma, devilishly-spicy chicken vindaloo; alongside the traditional dal, we also indulged in seasonal vegetables marinated in spices and cooked in an almond-based sauce. All of the above served with fragrant basmati rice from Punjab and freshly-made Roti, Naan and Pratha to mop up the delicious sauces. We barely had tummy space at the end for the decadent “Gulab Jamun” - deep-fried milkballs soaked in honey and rose water. A totally satisfying meal!
P/S: Free parking is available for customers directly behind the restaurant.

Food is very good to reasonable prices. Try the starter platter, if covers many delicious Greek specialties. Sitting in the yard is very nice in hot summer days.

This place serves very authentic food that is very moderately priced. Some of my favs: lad na with seafood or beef (broad rice noodles in a thick gravy), chicken wings, glass noodles salad with prawns n minced chicken (spicy, tangy sour, with a tinge of fresh coriander leaves -> perfect on a hot summer day), veggies in green curry, fried rice with prawns n pineapple, fried wantans filled with minced chicken, rice noodle soup with sliced beef....
Service is friendly and atmosphere gets a 3 'cos it's located next to a supermarket. On the other hand, it's great location as one can do grocery shopping after a sumptuous meal or while waiting for takeaway to be ready :) and ample parking is available.

This place combines a rather large supermarket and a small trattoria. The produce to shop for come to a very large number directly from Italy, inside it even smells like in an Italian supermarket. The prices are above average, basically expensive if compared with similiar produce in other supermarkets.
The food offered at the trattoria is of high quality and also tastes very yummy.

We love this place for its take-away food. Everything is fresh, tasty and close to no waiting time. Best replacement for Burgers and Pizza on those "I don't want to cook myself today" days. Anyway, not only the best Döner in town, simply the best in the whole metropolitan area.

Located at two major roads in the city centre of Schwetzingen, Quadrato is the kind of Italian restaurant one would expect to find in Italy. Chatty and friendly staff, efficient service and very good food make this place a perfect stopover for a quick coffee or a meal.

Tasty desserts in all shapes and sizes! I stopped at this place on my way back from the Schloss. I brought chocolate coated biscuits with jelly filling and a nut cake. Both were delicious. A good place to buy sweet somethings when in Schwetzingen.
