Arrived late in Andorra after a long drive from Toulouse, so I wanted a good meal. Really did not disappoint. Had the wild mushroom salad with foie gras, the salmon carpaccio and the escargots. The lady owner was very delightful, explaining the menu to me even though I could tell she was rather tired of repeating the same thing to every customer.
The restaurant had a cosy setting, and it was split into two sides, one with the bar. I was seated in the one without the bar, which was much quieter. The food was excellent, and there was both French and some Catalan dishes.

Excellent homemade lentil stew and best olive oil with bread. We dine at Can Manel once every three months or so and we throroughly enjoy the food and the warm family service every single time. They never fail at delivering their best quality food every time we are there and that's why we come back for more knowing exactly what to expect. Enjoy!

Tl;dr: DELICIOUS food, 2 hours having lunch and funny waiter. I'll come back.
The restaurant is quiet hidden and the decoration pretty old-fashioned.
The waiter is really funny and you can perceive that he has a lot of experience.
The restaurant is little having room for about 20 people.
Talking about food... gorgeous I had the best Risotto I've ever tasted in my life. I also had a delicious piece of meat. And the couland, eventhough it wasn't perfectly cooked it was delicious anyways.
We spent around 2 hours having lunch, but we were very comfortable and had eaten very good.
If I come back to Andorra, I'll surely come back.

It was lunch time and our last day in Andorra and having bought our obligatory cheap whisky just a few minutes away, we were hungry.Passing through Sant Julia de Loria,, we ended up climbing higher and higher above the town, looking in vain for a)somewhere to park and b)more importantly somewhere to eat. Lurking on a bend high on the valley side was the sign for Borda de Les Pubilles 1.5km ahead. On we went, found parking and a short walk further was the restaurant.
We were made more than welcome by the owner. We were the only guests for lunch - we had the most wonderful meal.
To begin with we were brought a plate of olives and finely sliced salami, this was followed by freshly toasted bread a clove of garlic and a tomato. Rub the garlic on the bread mash on the tomato, drizzle with olive oil and enjoy AND that was only the appetizer. We followed this with 3 courses, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. Of course a bottle of excellent wine and mineral water were also included and all this overlooking the valley and snow capped Pyrenees. The cost for this excellent meal was €22 each.
If you are ever in Andorra, it is worth making the effort to drive up the steep valley to a village called AIXIRIVALL and enjoy a meal in this restaurant - you won't be disappointed!!
There is also a menu for children, so no doubt families are also made very welcome. (Not rated as no personal experience)

Tapas & Pinxos D'autor
So glad we decided to route this fantastic hidden gem of a Bodega out. Situated in the old town in a residential area the restaurant opens each evening at 8.00pm.
We were greeted by the owner, a lovely Portugese lady who runs the place with her step father (I think) cooking. She took the time to explain the specials on the blackboard as well as explaining the menu to us.
We were so spoils for choice but opted for Garlic bread, followed by quail eggs and chorizo in a small potato case, wild mushroom risotto, hamburger and pork ribs with fig and mango. We were also treated to bread sticks with dried tomato, mountain salt and the most delicious olive oil from Tarragona. At the end of this sublime meal we were then presented with chocolate truffle.
Service was excellent, presentation was excellent and the food....well it sent me to food heaven.
Finally the bill...a mere €44! I would have been happy to double this amount.
If this place is only the 7th best restaurant presently in Andorra La Vela, this must be one of the food capitals of Europe!

A delightful and relaxing setting lends itself to an amazing meal with wonderful service. Fabulous starters of veloute with wild mushrooms and Iberian ham, and a carpaccio of shrimp and citrus. Followed by duck confit with red fruits and an amazing raviloil with truffles. Lovely choices of local wines. This is a place not to miss if you visit Andorra.
Thank you for such a lovely lunch!

Nice family restaurant located in Andorra.
We've been many times already and although the restaurant is no longer ran by the old owner, the new ones have been able to keep the same spirit and maybe improved it!
Great for families and groups while in Andorra.
Snails are delicious and meat too! Next tine we'll have some macarroni that looked delicious, just like grandma's used to!
Good for children!

This is not some fancy pants restaurant. The setting is more that of a snack bar or bar but the tapas are great. Good variety. Especially enjoyed the calamari and chorizo as the portions were massive. However, best were the croquetas. So good that on our second night we came back and ordered just a bunch of portions of the croquetas. Tasty cheap Spanish beer too. Friendly service and super casual. Ideal if at the Husa Imperial as you don't have to find parking and it is literally across the road. Was popular with locals which is always a good sign. Dessert maybe not too fancy; literally Vienetta out the box but overall if you want cheap tasty tapas and a beer this is the place for you.

We thought we were in the middle of nowhere, having negotiated narrow roads and hairpin bends in the beauty of Andorra. Just feeling hungry when round the corner we came across this gorgeous restaurant. We had a lovely, traditional Andorran meal, home cooked and served to us by the owners who were charming. It would have been worth travelling to it specially. Best meal we had in Andorra.

I have been visiting this restaurant for about nine months, every Saturday with a local international group for lunch. Actually some of them have been going there for 20 years + so I am something of a new boy! I am amazed that no English speaker has put a review on this site.
Ramon the proprietor is a very hospitable chap and he knows his customers very well. He does not speak much English and I no Catalan but we communicate with a sort of sign language and a few choice words. It all works very well.
His menu is standard food for this type of restaurant - very much a place for the locals but it is good quaity and well priced. The liqueurs come out at the end in typical Catalan fashion.
Well recommended.
