The place is very nice, is like a family restaurant, but the service is slow and the food it is Mexican but is not impressive. I do recommend this place just for the environment but not the food.We are sorry that you experience wasn´t as expected, we hope that you give us a second chance, surely we can surprise you with another pick from our wide menu.

A friend who lives in San Luis Potosi (state) suggested this restaurant as it was in walking distance of our hotel on Av. Venustiano Carranza. We ate rather late that night, around 10 p.m., but the place was very busy. We found a table for our group upstairs and we were greeted by our very friendly server who brought beers and pickled vegetables as well as some fried tortillas and salsa. We decided to try a variety of dishes and share with each other. The pozole rojo is tops in my mind; other exceptionally well prepared dishes were the "enchiladas enmoladas" (chicken enchiladas potosinas in dark mole) and the enchiladas rojas. Servings are ample; prices are great. I highly recommend this gem of local fare if you are in the city.

Downtown San Luis Potosi; a lovely Terrace with one of the most unique views in town.
This is a bar. If you're coming here to eat, don't expect much. If you're interested and enjoy nationally awarded microbrews, you will likely be quite happy. The decor is spectacular. The servers are great and really knowledgable of their product.
This was a refreshing change as nearly every other place in the centro offer nothing more than Victoria (bleh) or Corona (also bleh). Sure it's more expensive (twice the price) because crappy beer is cheap.

This is a really popular place with the locals. It was packed on a Monday night. The location is wonderful and centrally located.
The service is nothing exceptional, but given how busy the servers are, it is understandable. They offer an array of simple local specialties.
The food was ok, but nothing spectacular.

This is a traditional and elegant restaurant in SLP, at an antique house from the beginning of the 20th century. Neat decorations, simple, but elegant, with white tableclothes and everything in place. Specially to enjoy Spanish dishes. Good service. Medium range prices. Recommended for dinner.

We were pleasantly surprised at Oriental Grill, the staff is very professional, the service great, the drinks great, and the food was great!!! We got there at 7pm and the place had some people, but it was no wait for a table. By 7:45 it was full and a line to get in, and this was on a Wednesday.
We enjoyed everything we tried and will be going back for more.

Beef outstanding they know what are doing. I have had beef all around and they are high ranked with Mexican prices. Service is good the ambiance and decoration will surprise you. Deserve a visit

The best wine cellar in the center of Mexico, published in Wine Spectator for 5 years among the best restaurants in the world.Steak , Mexican an International food.Excellent service. English spoken, and our menu is available in 5 languajes. One of the best restaurants in Mexico!
Being new to Mexico we did not quite know what to expect when we were invited to dinner here. First impressions were positve as the restaurant is tastefully decorated and is very spacious.
The service is attentive, friendly and non-intrusive. The starter dishes, (we chose a variety) were all very tasty. However, I found the meat main dishes not particularly well-prepared and I found all the meat too fatty.
This is a place for serious meat eaters only.

Someone recommended this restaurant. Decided to walk from el centro (thanks, Google Maps!), and it turned out to be a somewhat long and dark walk. Recommend taking a cab or Uber. Food was delicious, a different take on Mexican food from the usual fare. Enjoyed it a lot. Dishes do contain a fairly large amount of meat, can't speak to vegetarian entrees. Got ready to leave, no taxis (wouldn't even answer their phones!) A kind Mexican lady ordered an Uber for us and even paid for it! I mean, it was less than $2 US, but still.
