We are a Filipino style eatery with some of the best tasting, most affordable Filipino food in all of Davao. We don't want to say too much, we will let the quality and taste of our food do the talking. Clean family atmosphere, no radio or TV blaring, just the sound of great conversation. Like to see our kitchen? Sure, we ate proud of our kitchen and would love to give you the tour. How many restaurants would openly invite you into their kitchen? Ask and find out. We look forward to see y'all.
After eating at Penong's, the portions here are much larger. Blue Carabao serves food in an ala carte manner, you walk right up, and choose what you want to eat.
The main gripe is that we arrived just before noon, and the food we had were all either cold, or we could tell that they have been left out in the open for some time - call me picky, but expected better after all the good reviews.
Other than that, we ordered 2 fish dishes, 1 squid dish and 1 beef dish, topped it up with 2 buco (coconut) drinks, and it cost us 400php - quite good value.
One suggestion I can make is - find some way to keep your food warm!

Mediterranean Cuisine. Claude’s serves the best steaks in town. Their steaks are perfectly cooked to the diner’s specifications with a choice of pepper or mushroom sauce. It can also be served with either mashed potatoes, or the more popular choice, rice. Other crowd-drawers are their appetizers, salads and soups. Some appetizers which deserve to be mentioned are their salmon pate and shrimp cocktail. The pate is served with lightly toasted sliced French bread while the cocktail is full of fresh shrimp smothered with light dressing and a helping of tomatoes and avocados. Their ceasar’s salad is also easily one of the best I’ve tasted in the city.
This a quaint restaurant using an old ancestral house well decorated by memorabilia furniture, decors and frames. They serve predominantly french cuisine. I made a reservation here 2 days before our flight to Davao which we planned to have a dinner date with my wife on that day using the hotel official website. They accepted our reservation request through email. On our arrival, a french looking senior guy is already waiting at the front porch to welcome you. Later on we found out that he is the owner of the restaurant. During that weekday night, the restaurant is not really crowded and a nice table for two is well prepared. They will serve you with bread with butter and tomato enchilada, while waiting for your order. The bread is perfect crunch-soft fresh baked. We salad and appetizer - Mussels Marinier which are perfect in taste, We ordered steak and the texture is great with matching tasteful sauce, Pepper sauce and Mushroom sauce. After dining you cant resist to take pictures with the nice house. This is one great restaurants to celebrate specials occasions with your partner, family and friends.

Outside and inside looks Swiss as you can see Swiss sausages and products are displayed and being sold on the shelves. You may say you are inside a Swiss chalet or inside a small Swiss food shop. But the ambiance is interrupted after you speak to the Filipino staff, of course they are Filipinos and speaks and act as Filipinos. They are nice and friendly though. But if you already been to Switzerland, and have tried to dine in a Swiss restaurant, you will miss the friendly follow up of the restaurant manager to know if the services and food are great.

Best kinilaw! The seafoods are cooked right your very eyes. The price is reasonable and good for groupies. You can also order fresh durian from the cart outside... However, if you are picky, i don't think you can stand the smell. You been warned. There are also flies.

Davao is without a doubt the Durian capital. I would highly recommend visiting any Blugré outlet and trying out their Durian Cheesecake. Mum and I visited the branch in SM Lanang for breakfast and it's really laid back and chill. Their Tapa rice meal is good and latte also great.
I'm not a huge durian fan so I didn't end up giving the durian coffee and durian pie a try. But the durian cheesecake was really good so might give the rest a try on my next visit.

Our room had breakfast included in Cafe Marco. I'm a vegan and I found that the food had enough for a vegan or vegetarian, such as cereal, rice meals, maki, soy milk, fruits, jams, etc. The space is very large and ambiance is good. The staff is very helpful when something special is needed. They even once prepared for me a special mushroom and vegetable dishes although I told them that it was no longer necessary.

I went to this new branch at corner Mabini Street and Quirino Ave. I ordered pork barbeque to take out. At 27 pesos each, I asked the waiter, how big is the barbeque, how many can 1 person eat? He suggested 3, so I ordered 12 pieces for our family of 4.
While waiting I sat down, looking around, observing the Waitstaff. A waiter served me a glass of water to drink.
It was a bit early at a little past 5pm. They were preparing for their shifts, some were drinking coffee, and I saw a staff room where they keep their bags and change their clothes or put on their uniform.
Later I saw a waiter help 2 Indian girls looking at the menu and suggested what to try, and I saw him later give them free soup, and the Indian girl was surprised that they did not order soup, so he explained that it was free.
After about 25 minutes I got my order.
I truly appreciate kind and respectful staff.

The restaurant is a little bit hard to find, because it's hidden behind another building (Krisna). So when you step inside, you've got this strange feeling: somehow you'll feel welcome in this warm, cozy, Dutch decorated restaurant! The menu is enormous, so many options, it's...MoreThank you for your nice write up. We are working on the excess and better visibility from the street. Hopefully to be realized within a few months. It was absolutely our pleasure to meet you and welcome you to our (family) establishment. Henny

Lachi's serves nice selection of desserts that are just right for your taste. Sans rival and green tea cheesecake are two of my favorites.
