The views were amazing and it was fairly easy to get there, but if you go by car until the beginning of the 'trilha' be aware that your car will be covered on dust, as the roads to get there are unpavemented.

Not that I think Monte Verde is the best place ever to visit. But, I had a nice time. It took forever to arrive there. There is no much restaurants available during the trip, but plenty available in the town. As we don´t like adventure sports we went to try bars and restaurants. Try the beer small local industry. You can ask for a table in front of the glass and drink watching the production. Go for shopping chocolate and local cheese. Amazing productions. Otherwise, the town is really small, with on main street. People get excited when temperatures go below 1oC, as in Brazil this is not normal. I suggest 2 days in this town.

It is a good walk to get there, but the view is amazing. Lot`s of nature in the way, perfect if you are a bird lover, you may not see them all, but you can hear them singing. Unfortunately, the infrastructure is a bit poor.

The Mining School of Falconry established in the premises of the Radical Farm in Monte Verde, MG. We work with Assisted Animal Interaction with birds of prey. We specialize in sharing with the visitors the pleasure and excitement of falconry, a fascination that has charmed people for over 4,000 years.
This is a cant miss attraction even if you’re not a bird watch fan. The place is located 6km from the city in a not pavemented road that if is raining is not recommended to go by ordinary cars only 4x4 cars. You are going...MoreWe appreciate the visit and confirmed that really during the rainy season the road is not good but the experience with the hawks is unforgettable

Good trail, well marked and eaasy to walk. You will walk around 40 minutes to get to the plato. A big and flat rock formation is the "plato".At this point of the trail you have a beautiful view of Monte verde, the Valley and the mantiqueira muntains. There is no food or drinks yp there, so take your snack and drinks!

360° view of the region, amazing spot to find peace and tranquility. The path can be a little bit tricky but it's not difficult. It's not a long walk, but it may take some time due to the steep way up and down. Worth visiting and staying there for a while. Less crowded than Pedra Redonda and Chapéu do Bispo. Take a coat, it is windy on the top and can easily get chilly.

For those who appreciate a good cachaça (the typical Brazilian sugar cane brandy) this is a good place to try differen types of the drink aged in different barrels of Brazilian native woods. Ideal for short visits. Don’t go expecting a comprehensive explanation of the production process though.

A good 50 minutes walk uphill to a big rock formation. You can climb the Cahapeu do Bispo. You have a beautiful view of the valley and the city of Monte Verde. It is an easy walk. A good trail.
