Good atmosphere , friendly staff but unreasonable prices (we paid nearly 100euros/person without the expensive 'fish of the day'!). The food was good but nowhere near exceptional. Cannot recommend because of the price which is a shame because the rest of this strip of restaurants (5-6) are all disappointing. Le Rouf Bistro ( lunchtime ) is a definite improvement (separate review)

We recently had dinner at this restaurant having checked Tripadvisor. We were well received by a young lady who was very pleasant and helpful. The big downside was we were told that 4 of the main dishes of what is a quite small selection were unavailable and no fish was on offer at all. The portions were on the small side and the salad garnishes had no dressing on them.

A ‘Terrible’ rating because of:
1. Poor service
2. Poor food
3. Completely oblivious to any form of customer consideration
Staying in the village for a week, we tried a few of the restaurants close by our hotel. We had been to Le Bistrot du Pêcheur earlier on in the week and had a very enjoyable meal in the, then, busy sea-front restaurant.
It’s Saturday night and as was good first-time around, we decided to re-visit.
This time, restaurant is empty. Other restaurants up and down the street are busy. We ask for a table next to the beach. The only two people is 'reserved'. The other tables next to the sea are laid for four people. We asked twice, making it clear that we would like to sit next to the sea. The waiter was not prepared to accommodate us.
We should have left then.
We ended up sitting at another table. We spent all of our meal looking at the other empty tables. My wife and I both chose the lamb stew with cous cous. Mine was very good. My wife’s was not. No one else in the restaurant yet. The lamb was chewy, gristly, sinewy. We let the waiter know. The same guy that served us last time. He shrugged his shoulders and walked off. We let the other waiter know. He shrugged his shoulders and walked off. No one else in the restaurant. They took the plates away. I would have liked a second glass of wine; neither waiter bothered to ask or was available when I wanted to ask for one. We had a desert. It was ok. No one else in the restaurant. The waiters were absent. One person turns up and sits at the 'reserved' table. A waiter comes back and offers us a digestif. We accept. We would like the bill. The mosquitoes start biting. No attention from either of the waiters.
We get up to go. That’s always a good way to get a waiter’s attention.
Standing at the front of the restaurant, the bill arrives. I make it clear that charging for the poor main course is not good. The waiter goes and speaks to someone across the street. They want the money – ‘the digestif was in lieu of a bad main course’.
I can get by in French; but I cannot argue in French.
If you can argue in French, go to this restaurant if you so choose, and try your chances.
If you cannot. Go elsewhere. They do not value customers here.

Very elegant for a beach cafe/restaurant - modern decor and well-presented tables with plenty of space between (both inside and out). Lovely location on a beautiful bay/beach.
No problems with service, indeed quite the opposite, despite just having mains and a small carafe of wine for lunch; still had excellent bread and 'amuse bouches' while we waited for the mains. Perhaps a little on the expensive side, but we felt that the food warranted it. Would have been very happy to return if it had been closer to our hotel.

In my opinion Pinarellu is the best beach in Corsica.
Chez Jean Luc is the perfect beach bar. Very friendly owners, good and not expensive food and a beautiful view of the beach and sea.
There is a lovely ambience with families, locals and beach goers.
We were here two years ago and the lady remembered us as soon as we sat down. Not to be missed

3 couples (American, British & German) dined twice here during our stay in Conca. The seafood, especially the frito mixto was outstanding; ditto the mussels and other fresh fish. Only one had a hamburger with was fine. Very generous portions and ordering an entree and a plat is more food than any normal person can eat––share an entree. But save room for the over-the-top ice cream desserts; not only works of art but can add serious centimeters to your waist. Most waitress are multi-lingual and very friendly. And you are right on one of the nicest Beaches on Corsica should you want to swim; it's a very gradual beach so you won't sink after a lunch here.

Great pizza. I tried the Rouf pizza with artichokes, olives and mushrooms. It had a great , thin crust. The olive oil brought to our table was nice and spicy, use sparingly if you don't like spice. My husband had the Robot chicken Sandwich and it had a nice mayonnaise. My kids had margarita pizza and one with ham. Both were good. Staff and service was fast and friendly; fast service was appreciated with kids who don't sit long. The view was fantastic. I did not try dessert but the menu looked appealing. Salads served to other tables looked fantastic.

We went to Pinarello for a weeks holiday and went to this restaurant twice in one week.
5 or 6 tables are set up on the sand with a fantasic view out to sea. A simple short menu delivered a great meal both times.
The Fritto Misto is especially good.
A special place

We have had dinner for serveral times in this good restaurant. And every time we are amazed about the constant quality of the food. Don't worry about the interior of the restaurant. It is cosy and in the winter you can sit near the fireplace. In summer there is a nice Terrace under the "Muriël Platanes".
The food is really good. The chef "Patricia" delivers exellent food. Max the server is very fast in serving and works hard to feel you comfortable.
We (my daughter and I) did try the "Bavette en echalotte": nice peace of meat with a sauce of red wine and echalottes. Beside this: tarte de courgette and gratin de pomme. My wife tried the "Magret de Canard"with a sauce made from honey and fiques: excellent!
There is a menu or a blackboard with the dishes of the day. You find here sometimes nice pasta dishes or salmon with courgette. Sometimes Patricia makes Corsican dishes as Sanglier, Eggplant Casarolle or Fishsoup. For the desert Max will tell you what they will have this day.
A pichet rosé you'll get for a reasonable price.
For me this is a restaurant where I will come more times. We are very often on Corsica. There are not much restaurants open in the wintertime. A Strada is open the whole year except on monday. This restaurant is a must in this region.

Ospiti dell'hotel Olmuccio abbiamo preso un antipastino, una buona tartare e una suggestion du chef che era un hamburger con il gratin dauphinois. Gradevoli ma cucina nell'insieme che non va oltre il medio livello.
