They don't have hundreds of items in their menu but what they have are nice to try. We had very nice fresh fish from the local fishery. They have very friendly personnel and cozy atmosphere.

My family and I have been coming to this restaurant for the better part of a decade. Whenever we are in Rostock to visit our family I always make sure we have two or three meals here. This restaurant has amazing BBQ food. Service has always been top notch. Prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is very cool. I never thought I would find such a good BBQ restaurant in Germany, but I'm glad we have. The owners are very friendly and even provide English menu's for Americans and Canadians. This restaurant is great for families and special occasions. Don't miss out if you're ever in the Rostock area.

We booked a table for lunch and we a bit early, but the waiting staff accomodated us nonetheless. You have to get used to the waiting staff as they are not directly unfriendly but, shall we politely say, ‘reserved’. The food was freshly prepared, tasty and the portion sizes were generous. I had the saltiest oysters in my life here. The interieur décor is ‘individual’ and in need of some tlc to posh it up a bit. There were lots of children around and we would not recommend this eatery for formal/ romatic or business. It is ok, however, for families. Service was markedly unhurried. I think I had better seafood elsewhere, albeit not in this part of Germany.

Our Block House was opened in 1993 and renovated in 2003. The restaurant has a continuous window facade with outdoor Seating directly outside under a permanent arcade-style roof. The outdoor area is heated on cooler evenings.
A very good choice for hungry travelers. The food rations are large and the salad that accompanies every main dish is fresh and huge. I can warmly recommend the rump steaks served at this restaurant.

Typical german Restaurant. We serve regional food with an international influence. You will love our location and the traditional food.
The Ratskeller in any German town will serve traditional food in rustic surroundings, and this one is no exception. However, the interior is a mix between a medieval cellar and 1990's café/disco. We had some typical servings which were generally fine, although the boiled potatoes...MoreLieber Troels, ich habe Ihre Bewirtung mit meinem Team ausgewertet; Ihr Gunnar Rößner

Fast food restaurant with large tables for sharing.
I had crab soup (excellent) oysters(very good) and a large platter of large prawns, scallops, brown shrimp and crayfish(superb). The latter dish was off piste however the staff were great in that they would make up a dish for you.
Definitely worth a visit.

You won’t find anybody bending over backwards to make your meal a friendly affair but you sure will walk out satisfied after a delicious meal. It was delicious!

Enjoy the comfortable traditional ambience, the regional and seasonal food of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, and the art of beer brewing.
We visited the Braugasthaus Zum alten Fritz during the week with a party of about 20 persons. The restaurant is virtually on the waterfront only a short walk from the city shopping centre. The service was very good and the food was served punctually and hot - as would be expected the beer refill service was efficient.
The menu has a wide variety of dishes on offer from fine to rustic, The food is presented well, is of good quality and tasty.
Worth a visit whilst in Rostock.
