We bumped into this restaurant during an afternoon stroll in Oberstdorf, quickly checked Tripadvisor and based on the positive feedback decided to go for lunch here. We were welcomed in the most friendly was and checked if they would be able to serve one vegan meal as well, no problem! The kids got their stuffies to do some drawings, we always enjoy that as well. The (beautiful) hostess, who runs the restaurant with her husband who's the chef, had inquired in the kitchen what was possible and suggested a pasta dish with veggies as a vegan option. I always agree with suggestion but obviously this can go many ways but it was delicious! The others also got generous dishes that were equally enjoyed. The combination of great food and super service always works for me, combined with the traditional Bavarian inside of the place makes this one a winner for me.

This restaurant is well worth a visit. The staff were super friendly and the food was excellent - but not cheap.
a good house wine was available only the grappa offered was a little below the standard expected after such a good meal. They did not quite get my steak "english" but it was very close and tasted really good.
Deserts looked good but a little too flashy for my tastes.

Stopped with my wife and kids for a quick hit Choc and gluhwein in the dying afternoon sunlight which falls beautifully on its gorgeous Terrace. The waiter pretended not to speak English and was rather curt, and the other patrons apparently had only just seen a one yr old for the first time ever, even though my boy was quiet and well mannered.

it is already six years ago that we went here for the celebration of my parents golden wedding anniversary. The food was outstanding. The restaurant was very cozy making a great place for such an occasion. The staff was very friendly.

Not sure which was the best: view, food, or service!!
Soft Sherpa blankets on beautiful wooden carved benches, indoor and outdoor dining overlooking stunning mountain scenery. Local caught venison was so tender you could cut it with a fork; and the Goulash....YUM was also outstanding, as was the tomato soup and chocolate cake.
Dogs welcomed and treated to their own bowls. Families welcomed on their way hiking through the countryside.
I'd come back here in a heartbeat if I were to visit the area again. It's a short and scenic drive slightly outside of town, but don't let this deter you from finding the place ...as you are in for quite a treat!

Came here with high expectations and they were met with on all levels. Food was innovative yet still very much in line with the best of Bavaria. They even had a vegan/ vegetarian/ no carb option!! Very rare in these parts and much appreciated by my wife. Service was excellent as well. Will be definitely returning soon.

Fresh cuisine - hearty to vegan, regional to international. In our restaurant, the world of culinary delights meet. International light or hearty cooked refined with regional products. Best Austrian and international drop off your culinary pleasure round. We ensure that you will not miss all day for nothing.
Riezler Hof is a very nice restaurant, a little snob I might say... I would not mind it if the service would be accordingly excellent - it isn't. The German waitresses are not as friendly as you would expect in a nice restaurant as this one. My Austrian companion said he thinks they were rude. I think she was eventually was just too busy while the manager was busy with her smart phone and standing around in the reception..
About the food - that was best in Kleinwalsertal and the wine was very good too. We paid for nice appetisers, nice main courses, 0.5L Zweigelt and a campari to start with 72€ which is less than in some other places in Kleinwalsertal while food was the best.
I hope they improve their service. If they will I will give them next time 5 points but tonights service can impossible be recognised with more that 4 points even the food was very, very good. My compliments to the cook!
Eventually German guests think the German waitresses are polite. I did not.

We stopped here for lunch during a cold skiing day. We were warmly greeted by the staff and shown a table in the cosy and charming restaurant. The menu is truly Austrian and fairly priced.
The dishes are served rapidly and the portions are gigantic. The quality is outstanding.
Special mention for the garlic soup.
I strongly recommend this restaurant for a good traditional meal.

Was recommended by the local and definitely worth the warmest recommendations. Food is excellent, very generous portions with friendly service for a decent price, will be coming back for sure.
