The Province of Lecce (Italian: Provincia di Lecce) is a province in the Apulia region of Italy. Its capital is the city of Lecce, which is known as the Florence of the South. The province itself is called the "Heel of Italy". Included entirely in the Salento peninsula, it is the second most populous province in Apulia and the twenty-first in Italy.

"Rosticceria" is the best way to have a fast and cheap lunch/dinner when you are enjoying Salento, and Rosticceria Moscara is the best oens I have tried since ever.
It's compulsory to try a Rustico and a Calzone Fritto, but every thing is worth.
Approximate you can be satisfied with less than 10Eur.
La migliore rosticceria abbia mai trovato nel Salento. I rustici e i calzoni fritti sono una vera delizia. Vi sazierete con meno di dieci euro a testa.

Filled with meatballs and spinach in 'puccia' bread. Full of flavor, hearty, moist, and with accompanying vegetables such as eggplant. So so good! The people taking our order were wonderful as well.

The gastronomic restaurant of the Palazzo Papaleo can be summarized in a short but significant sentence of the great Eduardo De Filippo:<br><br>"Only after studying, thorough and respected tradition, you have the right to set it aside, but always with the awareness that we owe, at least, he had helped to clarify things. Of course, if it remains anchored the past, the continuing life becomes life that stops but, if we use tradition as a springboard for it is obvious that we will jump much higher. "<br><br>The constant desire to improve, the search for new flavors that blend well with the local tradition and the special attention paid to guests, are the foundations of our way of looking at work.<br><br>This continuous search of taste and excellence, joins the quality of products used to give guests an unforgettable moment of culinary emotions. Always open to new trends, but respectful of tradition, we prepare dishes from land and sea unique.<br><br>A staff room and kitchen, made up of young and motivated lovers of his work, has allowed in recent years at the Restaurant of Palazzo Papaleo to become part of a quality market. Their way of making sparkling and cheerful, yet courteous and professional, will accompany your every evening giving you an experience to remember.<br><br>In the period of spring-autumn we will welcome you in the inner rooms by the beautiful vaulted ceilings and charming fireplaces; Summer in the Terrace inside the courtyard where intense scents of the sea and countryside are mixed.<br><br>The cozy dining rooms and the outdoor restaurant in the courtyard lend themselves to be reserved for small celebrations or business lunches and dinners.

After the best Pizza at Pizza & Co why not the best cocktail at this great little bar. Beautiful cocktails made with love by experts with great service and a cool ambience, what's not to like. Definitely worth finding this little bar in this magnificent city.

Nice place, was satisfied by our meal there. Would not have gone there if not for Trip Advisor. Outside street side almost unnoticeable, but onze you go in and get to the back terrasse, like another place. Very cozy, decorated in modern green all over. Food is carefully and well prepared. You can tell they try really hard. Service is good too. Would recommend, nice overall experience.

You receive an explanation on how to order. Staff give you a sheet of paper in your chosen language, you then tick the circles of anything you want. A very large selection of ingredients, including many local specialties. Additionally catering for gluten free or other intolerances.
We had 2 baguettes with about 4/5 ingredients in each, 1 litre of water, 1 glass of rosé and 1 fresh fruit dessert for €21. We got the last seats for a while; 1330 hrs, after which plenty of people started queuing outside. However takeaway is available. I'm sure you would not be more than 20 minutes waiting, but it is only a baguette and drink. Two young girls making the lunches were very professional and friendly; speaking many languages if your server did not understand. They came outside a few times to explain an item, even produced the side of meat at one point for some Austrians.

If you want a bottle of wine and cold cuts and other snack food I suppose this would be ok. The cold cuts were neatly sliced and the Crostini were pleasant but not as good as the ones in the B &B where we are staying .The main courses we chose - the Sicilian meat skewers and beef carpaccio were also ok but nothing out of the ordinary . The wines chosen by our waitress were pleasant enough . None of what we ate justified the 5* reviews and we have had far better meals in Lecce.

The place is small, but cosy and it offers the possibility of eating inside. You will be able to taste delicious mains, sandwiches for everyone, seasonal vegetables, dishes of the day, desserts and, most of all, our specials: fried pizzas, friend panini, and last, but not least, doughnuts with sugar and Nutella! You will be welcomed with warmth and friendliness! Look forward to seeing you!!!
I visited this little restaurant on the recommendation of my sister who had been on a tour of Lecce and happened upon it. It is a non-assuming place with amazing, home made food run by a charming husband and wife team. Very friendly and great food. I had roast chicken and gratinated vegetables. 2 minutes for the Piazza del Duomo. There are around 8 seats but works well as a take away to enjoy in the sun. The number of great reviews from Italian customers speak volumes. Check it out!
