Procida is the quintessential Mediterranean paradise, an absolute vision of colorful harborside homes and picturesque piazzas. Lose yourself in colorful Terra Murata, a walled medieval town that’s perched staunchly on a hill. There you’ll find the 15th-century Palazzo D’Avalos and Abbazia di San Michele, an 11th-century Benedictine abbey. After your tour, scoot down the steps to charming Corricella, then unwind with a poolside cocktail at the magical Maresia Solarium.

We were highly recommended to La Gorgonian by the lovely young lady that runs our B&B and as a local she was absolutely right. This unpretentious little restaurant is literally 2 meters from the harbour which in itself is absolutely tranquil and beautiful. You could so easily be tempted to walk right past to one of the bigger and brighter restaurants along this lovely marina. But that would be a shame because you couldn't wish for better service and food than this little gem. Everything is freshly cooked by two lovely ladies that have been probably expertly cooking fish all their lives. As a starter I chose Mussles that were I think cooked in lemon and white wine. They were big fresh and so so tasty and the juice was superb. My wife had a selection of smoked fish that she enjoyed so much we are returning tomorrow evening. We both chose really fresh local Calamari cooked in the lightest of batters and served with salad. This was also absolutely superb and I can't wait to have it again. We accompanied this with an excellent and very reasonably priced local white wine rounded off with an ice cold lemonchello. What a wonderful evening in a wonderful setting and looked after by wonderful friendly people. Thank you. We'll see you tomorrow.

Other restaurants had been strongly advised. However, I had a feeling that this place would be good and it excelled my expectations so much that we returned the next night. A rarity for me! Both fish and meat courses are excellent. Contrary to other reviews here I did not find this place at all over priced. Large portions means you have a while to take in the stunning position 3 min walk up the hill from the main port.Look out for the indications.
Excellent family run restaurant. Relaxed friendly but attentive service.

Vivara is located at the beach and you can eat just ten meters from the sea! The menu is rather small but what they serve is of quality. I had the monk fish in bacon on ricotta and spinach, my wife the pasta with beans. We both liked the place and would recommend it without hesitation.

Procida was on my list of "things to do" from Naples and going there proved a good decision. Got a taxi to Marina di Corricella (had to walk down steps once dropped off) and strolled along the Marina. The two restaurants that I had read about before leaving the UK were this one and La Lampara. We stopped here rather than climbing up to La Lampara as both restaurants looked like they could become full any minute and we didn't want to pass on an empty table. Good decision. We loved it — both for the view, the food and the service.

After being there and trying a late lunch with three persons,
we ordered swordfish, which was over cooked, dry with a strong fish taste, probably not the freshest one,
Gambas which have been ok' ish
Fried Calamari, which have not been as good and tasty as they should be in a restaurant at the sea side, we understand that it's for sale :-)
Overall not a place I may recommend and probably good that they will sell it.
Let's see next year if it will be better under new ownership.

The restaurant "La Lampara" is located in the side of Marina Corricella with the best view. It offers traditional cuisine based on fish, always fresh, fished with local Fishermen's boats.
We went for dinner twice within three days. The first meal, antipasto di mare, alici marinate, and a grilled fish (pezzonia) was a 5 star dinner. Tonight we went back and had the same starters but had spaghetti with seafood and then THE BIG DISAPPOINTMENT, fried calamari. Not only was it tough as chewing gum, it tasted of old oil. To add insult to injury, although we didn't eat any of it and explained why, we were charged for it. I think the head waiter knew we knew it wasn't up to their standards as he offered us after dinner drinks.......It still didn't make up for our disappointment. The first evening we had a lovely dessert, the second we time we just wanted to leave.

On the Island of Procida, in a nice bay with sandy beach there is this restaurant with Terrace overlooking the sea. A shuttle boat brings you from your private boat to the mooring on the beach where also the restaurant entrance is located. It can otherwise be reached by means of a long stairway linked to the street.
It could be much more atmospheric if there was the right lighting. At present, it is quite inadequate but could be really and simply improved by some candles on the table, which are completely unavailable. As a result, it is difficult to see what is happening on your table and even what is in your dish.
The menu is very Spartan: dishes are not explained but rates are definitely high. However, we chose some seafood starters and first courses and local wine as well.
Good quality of the ingredients and attentive preparation are to be mentioned. The local wine was light and pleasant. At the end of our dinner, no expresso or liqueur was offered by the staff. In regards to the service I have to say that one waitress was quite kind and careful whereas the other one was stern and unable to smile.
Poor toilets (toilet paper was over and the electric hand dryer did not work).
All in all: An impressive location, good premises to be a noteworthy restaurant, good quality food and beverages, but some points are still to be improved.

Girone it is a rustic restaurants just on the beach, always busy and noisy but the food is simply genuine and delicious! Whatever you pick (seafood, pizza, meat) it is always very tasty, and the portions are also very big ! We have been there 3 times and we always left the restaurant very happy!the menu ' has a wide selection of dishes and the wine list is quite good too!
The staff is friendly and very helpful even if they are running all the time. If the restaurant it is too busy you can share the table con other people, that it makes sense in such informal atmosphere. I recommend Girone as perfect restaurant for an informal lunch on the beach!

We had on of the best lunches, during our stay at Naples. In a day trip at Procida,we chose to have lunch at le Maestrale, among the other restaurants at the Coricella, after Reading their menu. It was a Saturday and almost all restaurants were full, mostly by Italian people. It was a great experience, with great food, among Italians, laughing and speaking loud, but this is the South of Italy. After all, we had a great day, and most entertaining. We spent some hours at le Maestrale, eating and drinking, (two bottles!!!) of great white wine,Fiano di Avellino, and then limoncello and sweet wine offered by Italians sitting next to us.
Everything we ate, was delicious, very well prepared, very tasty with good ingredients. We chose, of course, local dishes, and seafood. The greatest dish to my opinion was, pasta fresca with calamari and limone.
Prices were reasonable enough, for the spot, the quality of food, and the beauty of la Corricella. Not to be missed.
