Haler Estate is situated near-by Amon Estate and close to Olimje Castle. Parking space is wast - with a reason. On weekend avoid that place no matter their home-brewed beer is quite good. On those days it is like after-avalanche: noisy, overcroudede and the quality of service and food progresivly is dropping. Otherwise over the other week days stakes are just alright - and didi I mentioned their beer?

Except for the walk up to the restaurant and the walk down! :) Very steep but doable if you're in reasonable shape. Passing by the many miniature churches and buildings on the path to the top helped "pass the time"! Visited with our small tour...MoreThank you very much for your nice words. Walking is part of a healthy life :), and all those who are unable to walk, we always drive by car to the entrance and back. Thank you for your visit and see you again!

It is furnished in rustical style of a wine cellar, decorated with original viticulture stuff and decorations from viticulture heritage, which is very rich around Virštanj. Our desire is to offer our guests a wide range of culinary delights and wine of our own production. We have achieved many awards in culinary and catering competitions, among them are a „Touristic carnation“ and Maison de Qualit
After skipping lunch and a nice long hike of 5 hours along the Sunny Trail up by the vineyards, we arrived hungry and cold. Amon was the perfect place. It was warm and cozy despite its size and we were seated in a nice romantic...MoreThank you!

The family who runs this place are super friendly. The food is very special, because everything that is on the menu is home/hand made. Same as the wine! The family also loves to drink one with you. Just prepare yourself for a big plate!

This restaurant came as a recommendation from the local. And it was such a pleasant surprise. First the decoration of the place is really nice with lovely greenery and a small Fountain inside. The whole place has a lovely homey local feeling about it and was not crowded. We were a party of four and meat eaters. We had two "Zagrebacki odrezak" (which is fried pork fillet filled with cheese and ham), fried chicken fillet filled with cheese and ham and I had "Veseli zagorec" (which is a fried baby beef fillet filled with cheese and ham). The portions were extremely large (measuring by any restaurant we have been to and eaten these dishes) so we had to ask the waitress to pack the rest for later. I cannot describe the tenderness of the meat which just melted in your mouth. Also, included in the dish, you get fries or rice with vegetables (in croatian đuveč). We wanted to thank the chef for absolutely fabulous meal, and she is also the owner (along with her husband who also works there) and found out they are wonderful and extremely kind people. So we asked about the tenderness of the meat as It couldnt be all attributed to the way of preparing and were told that they only obtain local meat so that it is always fresh. We also tried the pancakes with cherries (got a recommendation from the chef/owner) and these are probably the best pancakes I have ever eaten (and this is really not exaggeration as I have eaten pancakes on numerous occasions even in their homeland - France). They are filled with fresh cherries and their juice which have been flambéed probably in cherry brandy or some other liqueur. After eating half of the second pancake I remembered to take a picture to preserve this moment and the place (shame on me for not taking a picture of the meat we ate so you could have a glimpse of what Im talking about). Was surprised no ratings about this place. But I assume the locals know where to eat good food...This is a reward that you get for making a small trip away from big city full of pretentious and expensive restaurants. Highly recommended and not to be missed when you visit Veliki Tabor (as we did and were just thrilled about the castle). And do not forget to try the pancakes!

We offer bed, breakfast and dinner, and by arrangement, also lunch. We live in harmony with nature and we would like to share this story with you! Welcome at home! The restaurant offers Sunday lunches and à la carte dishes. Our kitchen is natural (preferably eco), without artificial additives, we grow our own food.
Very difficult to find , too few tags, a sufficiently large parking . Excellent food, healthy, rooms big enough, necessary to regulate further details for guests Maybe more additional features for the visitors. Maybe some spa, sauna or games room. I recommend desserts
