Peschiera del Garda is located on the southern end of Lake Garda, in Italy's Veneto region. The town's sixteenth-century island fortress and walls are visible today, a reminder of a time when Austria controlled the region. After exploring Peschiera's history, relax with a glass of Lugana, a local white wine.

We were greeted warmly by the owner who talked to us throughout the evening. We had a mixed Fish starter from the lake which was delicious followed by our mains. The steak was melt in your mouth and the lasagna was also up to a high standard. Highly Recommended

Da Luisa is a typical Italian trattoria outside of the beaten tourist tracks. As a result, most customers are Italian, which usually is a good sign. Also here. The location is nondescript, and the interior nothing to write home about, although it doesn't sent you off either.
The main feature here is the food. Simple, but high quality Italian cuisine, flawlessly prepared, and just yummy. The service is quick and friendly, with the chef serving many dishes personally. And best of all, prices are very reasonable.
Da Luisa is the embodiment of a great trattoria. So if you are looking for authentic and honest Italian cuisine in this touristic area, this is your place. If fine dining is what you're after, look elsewhere.

On our way towards Dolomiti Mountains, we decided to have a lunch break in Peschiera. The weather was quite good and many people were strolling around downtown Peschiera. We decided to visit this restaurant, which was the first time for us, also having read good things about it. Its location is a bit secluded from the lake front, but anyhow it was very easy to reach it. The presented menu was quite attractive, so we have been a bit embarrassed and it took us a few minutes to make our selection, but finally we did it, mainly mollusk/shellfish oriented, which has proved very good. To conclude our meal, we got a lemon sorbet and some "Tozzetti", together with a glass of sweet wine. Good!
Price resulted medium/high, anyway in line with the quality of the food.

It's a little be hard to find this unique restaurant; rustic & elegant mix togheter.
Wonderfull fish and "antipasto misto di lago" is the best choise.
Medium price, good choise of local wine; they start from 13€ a bottle.
Is it a good choise for romantic & business, they have a lot of solutions to set.

When we arrived we immediately loved the feel of the place - the bricked vaulted ceilings and modern lighting and the interesting wall displays with carefully placed candles. All of which gave a warmth and charm which demonstrated the thought that had been given to the look and feel of this special restaurant.
The service was of the highest standard. Our waiter explained each dish with a love and knowledge of each local ingredient that is all too rare. And the food itself was just wonderful - quite literally the most delicious meal I have ever tasted. From local fish on polenta, an amazing fillet steak and finally the most scrumptious pear strudel with hazelnut ice cream. All accompanied by a great range of quality local wines.
As we made our way home my 11 year old daughter asked if we could book the restaurant for the last night of our Holiday which just sums up a lovely evening meal.
If you love good food, wonderful service and also want to take home a little more understanding of the Verona districts food and wine, do try to have a meal at this special place.

this restaurant is about raw fish, we tried the raw scampi (wonderful) scallop - good, cooked lobster salad - sweet and beautifully presented and steak. We had salmon for starter - not brilliant wouldn't bother next time. Enjoyed the amuse bouche, enjoyed the atmosphere, black bread sticks - yum. So pleased we went and tried this place, would I return for the scampi - yes I would

The design of Toasteria Italiana is signed by Marco Lucchi, international renown architect, who signed only venues with the best appeal.
Went for dinner, and it was a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was very nice and everything was really high quality. Would be nice to have a few more vegetarian options, but it didn't seem like it would be an issue to create your own!

During our short stay in Peschiera del Garda based on Trip Advisor's recommendation we chose this restaurant and was really happy about our choice.
As it is a bit further from the tourist center, many local eat there, so the menu seemed much traditional, like horse steak, rabbit stew and fish in carbonara spaghetti. I had vegetarian pizza, the best I ever tasted, the others chose different hommade pasta, all very delicious.
The small challenges were English speaking level and serving speed of the waiters, but in every restaurant in Italy we experienced the same, so I wouldn't count it as a negative caracteristic. :)

We visited Filli Fraccaroli's winery as part of a Pagus tour (from Verona) which also took in a boat ride on Lake Garda and a visit to the historic village of Sirmione. I especially wanted to go for the winery tour, which was interesting if only to see how industrial now is wine production compared to the old French wineries with their wooden barrels that I have toured before. So I was not expecting much of the lunch, how wrong can you be!
We had a splendid five course meal each accompanied by a Fraccarolli wine, comprising:
Appetisers of tomatoes and mushrooms in little puff pastry parcels, delicious, with a sparkling white.
Home made (quite thick and very eggy) spaghetti with asparagus and saffron, outstandingly good (and I am not a pasta fan), with a rather flowery Lugana white.
Sliced rare roast beef (albeit too rare for my friend) with a thick red wine reduction (sauce), potato gratin and salad, absolutely superb, with a fairly good Merlot (I bought a bottle to bring home, at 6 euros)
Assorted cheeses, very palatable, with a Cabernet Sauvuignon/Merlot which some liked but was too thick and heavy for my taste, not at all like the claret style I was expecting
A pudding with fruit and cream with a very sweet dessert wine, altogether too sweet for me and the flavours clashed. I would have liked a plainer pudding to set off the wine.
I did not look at the regular menu but if this winetasting lunch is anything to go by, it should be really great. The cost was included in our tour so I have no idea of the prices.
They had had 90 to dinner the night before and cater for large parties, weddings, and the like. We were only six plus our Pagus guide and had the undivided attention of our hosts.
No English was spoken but we had our Pagus guide to translate as each dish and wine was described in turn (as well as for the winery tour).
The restaurant is in a charming tile-roofed building, graciously appointed - and has the most elegant toilets (upstairs).
It is off the beaten track but well worth a detour, as the Guide Michelin would say.
