Woodlands Restaurant, widely recognised for its fine preparation of famous Chettinad dishes, has enjoyed immense popularity among food connoisseurs in Oman, especially the expats and westerners. With a track record of 30 years of successful operations in the Sultanate, it prides in being the ideal family restaurant that not only excels in food, but also in its service that comes straight from the heart. Little wonder then, that it won the 'Best Service Award' 5 times, Best Indian Restaurant 2011 & Best South Indian Cuisine Award for 2013 & 2014. Currently, the restaurant operates in the Central Business District, Muscat.
Woodland
Indian restaurant.
So, to give a little tribute to our "not meant to happen" holidays in India we decided to eat Indian. Found some suggestions on tripadviser and decided to tryitout.
Beautiful design of interiors, delicious food and very kind and helpful staff.
Thank you so much for great service enjoyed it very much.

After a nice walk on the beach on a breezy day don't forget to pass by D'Arcy's Kitchen. You will be enchanted by our cottage-style interior with its bright & cheerful yellows and blues, folksy decorations and homely gingham Seating. The pleasant, and always smiling staff, in their cute country-style outfits, will surround you with warmth and friendliness. As you begin sampling our freshly prepared beverages and wholesome food offerings, you will slowly begin to realize why D'Arcy's holds such a unique place in the hearts & minds of Muscat residents; and why it has twice won the much coveted "Best Cafe Award" since opening its first branch in 1997 in the Shatti Al Qurum beach area. If you're in the mood for a more tranquil experience why not visit our second branch, which is located in a residential area and offers a slightly different and more relaxing experience. With its green & leafy outdoor "English Garden" patios it is reminiscent of pleasant summer living in country villages all over Europe. Over the years D'Arcy's has managed to satisfy its diverse multinational and multicultural customer base by providing a vast selection of items from coffees to juices, from salads to sandwiches, from soups to main dishes, from snacks to desserts. Some of our longtime favorites include our delicious D'Arcy's Breakfast with coffee and juice, refreshing Lime & Mint crushed iced drink, Caesar and Avocado Salads, Traditional Lamb stew, Homemade pies, Tuna and Coronation sandwiches, our famous Steak, Fish & Chips, Aromatic Marinated Chicken, Carrot cake and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Everyone always tells us how at home they feel in D'Arcy's. Whether they're alone, with friends or with the family they always find that spending time at D'Arcy's is both relaxing and rejuvenating. So, give yourself a treat and enjoy a cup of the best cappuccino in town whist Reading the latest magazines or having a nice chat with friends.
This review is a long overdue but I really wanted to tell something about this place. My family and I ate our brunch here. The atmosphere was good, homey. We were hungry that time because we travelled all the way there from Nizwa.
Our order were very good and large servings. Prices are reasonable. We really like the place and the food. And now, it's one of our favorite place to be.

Dine along our 370 metre private beach where the creative seafood menu gets accompanied by a sublime Gulf of Oman Panorama and paired with an equally impressive wine selection. Soak up the sea breeze and salt air on the expansive waterfront patio or gaze out from the high ceilinged, contemporary dining room.
This is a super nice restaurant with excellent service and wonderful dishes. The only downside is that I wrote two emails trying to reserve via their homepage and I never got an answer.

Mezze and the Turkish bread were phenomenal; fish was just okay, but overall a very good dining experience. There are three places next to each other with the same name. Go to the one in the courtyard.

During our stay at the Crown Plaza in Muscat we ate at Shiraz, the on-site Persian restaurant, several times and it was always a most enjoyable experience. It was great to try genuine Middle Eastern food of high quality. Be aware, portions are large and there is a complimentary starter of flat bread, yoghurt with walnuts and salad. The service, as elsewhere in this hotel, was friendly and efficient. We loved it.

Kurkum (Telephone: 24714114) is new Indian restaurant in Mattrah
Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. On the main walking street just down from the "tourist" restaurants . Thanks to a quick Tripadvior search about another restaurant we noted the reviews of this one we had walked by. Not inexpensive but very good - note...MoreDear Customer, Thank you for taking the time to review our restaurant.

Salalah's best hangout venue. Casual Restaurant/Pub setting with amazing food (including the best steaks in town) and a wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits. Beautiful views of the ocean with both inside Seating and an amazing outside Terrace Seating area.
It is a long walk from Oman's Cruise terminal so cruise passengers have two options: wait for the free shuttle or rent for a taxi outside. Its restaurant offers international foods like British, Indian, Mexican, Filipino, etc. I ordered their Biryani for only 4.2 omani rial. It consists of huge serving of biryani with raita and popad. I must say that they cooked the best biryani ever!
As for the place itself is cozy. On their wall visitors can see all the money collections of the owners, the plaques given to them by their visitors and the other recognitions of people. Flags of different countries are hanging on their ceiling as well. It makes visitors feel of traveling around the world without living Oman.

Had garlic bread for starters and sirloin steak for main.
Garlic bread was a bit burnt I thought and not enough garlic. Average.
The steak was not bad. I had asked for medium rare and it was a little over cooked. I didn't think the quality of meat was great.
Prices are reasonable and service was fine.
Overall I was slightly disappointed
