I love this beach! :)) This is so nice and sandy beach where you can relax and no one will disturb you. :)) When I visited this Al fizayah Beach, there were no tourists. Which was great, because I dont t like crowded Beaches. :)) Here you can swim and sunbathe. The sunsets are amazing here! :)) It is definitely worth a visit, I can only recommend!:)))

We were staying at the Hilton in Salalah and hired a car to drive the short distance to Al Mughsail beach. You could get there by taxi but they are a rip off if you take them from outside the hotel. There was hardly anyone of the long stretch of sandy beach which had a series of sun shelters at regular intervals large enough for families to gather and enjoy a picnic. GS

Mocha City
These ruins have been well-restored to get a good picture of a frankincense trading port town of about a thousand years ago. Some signage and a small information center on site. See Khor Rori while you're there.

We visited this building before 11am which is the cut-off time for women to roam the Mosque freely. It is basically a large courtyard and a large hall will washing areas all set in beautiful grounds. We really enjoyed our visit.

We drove all the way from Salalah and the road and coast are spectacular. We went when the blow holes weren't blowing, so not at it s best. The caves are OK, but hardly a major attraction. The best bit was seeing herds of camels along the brach, amazing.

Another very nice and a historical building. You can see how the Omans lived. How they used kitchenware in the kitchen and how the rooms looked etc. Opening hours: Monday - Sunday 8 - 18 and only Friday 8 - 11. I can recommend it.

In the entire museum, we found that Naval portion which displays the old boats and their equipment is the best. This has good collection of old ships and replicas of various warships and ships from various generations. Another portion which depicts various stones and minerals along with old generations vessels can be given a miss if there is no time.

Supposedly there are some sacred footprints up there, but we couldn't find them. The drive is beautiful - even in November after the Khareef. Very little is marked however, but the caretakers were friendly.
