A very nice restaurant, it's in a basement of an old town house in Novy Bor, consists of a main room, and 3 smaller side rooms, each with a big table Seating 4 to 8 people, really like the decor and antiques on display, and most of all the food is lovely. We go there both for evening meal, and for luchtime ready meals (don't foget in czechoslovakia workday starts earlier, and so does lunchtime, get there by 11 or 12 latest for the lunchtime specials); the lunch menu is a soup and main, and i think dessert as well, for about 100 czech crones (£4). Service Can be slow sometimes, and especially around luchtime when it's really busy.
In the evning we ussually have steaks or pork dishes, both of which is always excellent. Definitely would reccommend.

Modern and popular restaurant with a unique possibility to watch glassblowing through a glass wall. Interior was designed by Borek Sipek. Daily lunch menu, happy hours. Family friendly. Summer terasse.
This restaurant was choosen by my Tcheque friends to celebrate our first visit to Novy Bor......the glass village. During the meal, you can enjoy the glass making and the work of the artists. The food is good , the beer is cheap, cheaper than the water...so why not enjoy a real Tcheque beer! Everything was good, the service, the ambiance full of art work, you will have a nice time for sure!

This restaurant serves very reasonably priced food, the staff are Vietnamese and the style of Chinese food is more Shanghai than Szechuan. There being few good restaurants in Novy Bor, would recommend this place highly.

The menu presents a small variety of European cuisine and also includes an Indian dish with pork. I haven't seen anything Czech specific, but hey the Indian was good. Try the draft beer!

inside comfortable , large fireplace, design by our family friend Mr Houdek. Outside beutiful garden with spaceful playgroud for kids of almost any age, marvelous view to surrounding hills and right next to wellknown pilgrim St. Maria chapel.
the story itself is the coloforul modern menu, daily choice of old czech meals included and perfect service..

The place is situated near the hotel Morris, probably 200 m away. The stuff there is friendly, mostly speak German or Czeck, but the menu is translated into English as well. Their ice tees are awesome, super refreshing and not sweet (or sweet, if you prefer it). We got ttraditional garlic soup, which turned out to be really tasty and not too garlicy, Then we got beef tartar with bread and a ceasar salad, bith were super-delicious! For 2 people we ended up paying 500 krones (with tips), which is 20 euros roughly. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant is beautiful, farm style, with small terasse. It's a bit out of town, but within walking distance. It's clean, and with helpful staff.
The food is czech style classic dishes. The fried cheese was great. The potato latcakes Bramborak is tasty and not a bit oily. The stir-fry chicken filling in the Bramborak was a disappointment, as the tomato sauce was just ketchup and few slices of red pepper. The fish, and steak looked good but I haven't tried it. The chicken dishes also looked yummy. Will try next time.
I will definitely go there again and try other dishes!

This place was pleasantly busy on a Monday evening. The staff were very welcoming, and we were pleased to receive an English menu. My steak with cranberry sauce was very nice, and my friend's pork tenderloin with peppercorn sauce was equally lovely. It was a real pleasure to find a restaurant that serves plenty of fresh vegetables as side dishes, as we have felt a bit lacking in vitamins on this trip! The grilled vegetables and tomato salad were refreshing and really tasty, as were the potato pancakes. Service was friendly and efficient, and everyone at the whole place was in good spirits. Clearly a favorite amongst locals, and definitely worth a meal!

Včera jsem byla, opět již poněkolikáte, v této restauraci a zase jídlo, obsluha a celkově prostředí, nemělo chybu. Vše bylo naprosto dokonalé. Jídlo vynikající, čerstvé, obsluha velmi ochotná a milá.

A group of friends had just finished a wonderful meal at a nearby restaurant and fortunately fell upon this sweet shop on our way out of town (Novy Bor). There's ample parking in the area of the shop which is a plus and the building and its interior is immaculately clean and minimalist in its decor. The pink painted walls were a bit feminine for this burly gent but I endured because of the wide range of choices in the ice cream case and the spell binding array of sweets to accompany my three scoops and a cup of coffee.
This place, it turns out is renowned for making Marzipan cakes, birthday cakes, wedding cakes, baby cakes, gluten-free desserts, pastries, pies, cakes, cookies and ice cream. There was a steady stream of locals passing through to pick up their pre-ordered cakes or sitting around one of the bistro tables enjoying an afternoon sweet.
It's the discovery of this sort of treat that you store in your memory banks for the next time you pass through town. Recommended.
