Perfect ambient, perfect service, perfect food!
Located in Bryanston, this restaurant shows the old colonial ambient. And it's huge. Outside you have a fireplace.
The service is extra ordinary. Three different waiters were responsible for our table. And each waiter was a specialist in his profession and high motivated.
We tried the Kudu-fillet, the ordinary beef and several types of carpaccio. Absolute perfect!
Good wine and a good whisky were offered too.
We will come back, definitely.

Always good food, excellent service from the bar & Terrace staff to the restaurant staff, excellent chefs - this restaurant is consistently good. They can easily boast serving of the best steak in Johannesburg . We visit them at least twice a month, every month. It would be really nice to see a new and revised menu with some new exciting dishes, it’s been the same menu for many months now. The chef is very creative at Punchinellos and his skills should not be hidden.

This is a very authentic Portuguese restaurant. The owner is omnipresent and makes a genuine attempt to ensure that the menu is explained to you. There are some very traditional Portuguese dishes such as goat, Bacalhau and various pork dishes. The best selection of Portuguese wines in South Africa. Recommended.

Took 10 minutes of arguing to get our Puppy Dog for the Blind allowed in.... We managed it in the end but really, it is the Law and not to have a clear policy is very poor. Emailed for CEO attention...
So location is nice for a friend last get together. Service was very good, food was good enough.....Platters, chips, onion rings, that kind of thing. My Steak Roll was cooked as I asked but came with a mound of carbs.....
Guinness was ok....
So, once I have a definitive answer from the CEO then I may come again. If not, I won't

The food is of excellent quality. The service is superb. Our ambassador Teddy was very attentive without being intrusive. I would come back here often. The kingklip lamb shank and bunny chow were delectable. Will definitely be back.

Baby chicken was obviously not bashed enough while being cooked
The fat olive Mozambique beach bar needs to show them how to do this properly
Dorado fish was so dry.........
Asked for mild giblets got very hot
Crispy squid heads were good
For a bill of R1400 for 3 people I expect very good food
They being to long got a good name initially and now could not care what goes out the kitchen
Be interesting to know when last a manager has checked
I once walked in and mangers and staff were having spaghetti and meat balls
Do they try there own food on a spot check method
Will not be going back

So we were off to the Nicki Minaj Concert and one of the friends was celebrating her 30th birthday. Now we know ans trust that the Spur will turn out good food quite efficiently as we did not have much time on our hands! They did not disappoint, The service was fast and efficient, I felt our waiter could have been a bit friendly and serve us with us a smile but he needless did his job quite diligently! The garlic, cheese rolls were smothered and totally delicious. Rings and wings was our choice for the evening.. absolutely pleasing. One cannot fault the food. They even sang for our friend - she felt like a two year old again..A pleasant, enjoyable meal.

After Reading multiple glowing reviews, we had to try it as The Clay Oven is literally 1.3km from home. What a wonderful little place. Fantastic variety of food, excellent flavours, great service. We will need to return to try the desserts at some stage.
