Napo (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈnapo]) is a province in Ecuador. Its capital is Tena. The province contains the Napo River. The province is low developed without much industrial presence. The thick rainforest is home to many natives that remain isolated by preference, descendants of those who fled the Spanish invasion in the Andes, and the Incas years before. In 2000, the province was the sole remaining majority-indigenous province of Ecuador, with 56.3% of the province either claiming indigenous identity or speaking an indigenous language.

Fight on the riverfront is Cafe Tortuga, a favorite foreigner hangout. This small cafe's charm comes from its attentive staff and simple, good food, including sweet and savory crepes, large sandwiches, soups, avocado stuffed with chicken or cheese, and beef chili. Many come for its yummy and filling breakfasts (served from 7 a.M.), While others come to cool off with an iced coffee, fresh fruit juice or homemade iced tea. There's free WiFi and a book exchange too. Monday-Saturday 7 a.M..-7 P.M., Sunday 7 a.M.-1 P.M.
Cafe Tortuga is my go-to place for breakfast in Tena. Especially, if I am looking for something other than breakfast continental or americano. They have great pancakes, crepes, fruit dishes. Most importantly real coffee and not instant coffee that is often served for breakfast in most places in Tena. They always have a wide variety of juice available. Free WiFi. Prices are marginally higher than other places...but you get what you pay for... and over the years I keep going back to Cafe Tortuga. One thing negative is service can be slow sometimes.

This restaurant might have been glamorous once, now it is deserted and has a strange atmosphere. Food is mediocre and especially the lamb that I tried was awful and looked more like dried beef than fres meet. Overpriced, poor quality and sloppy service. Although Tena has not much to offer culinary, you should give this one a miss.

All deli is a cozy restaurant located in the center of Tena , where you can enjoy international cuisine prepared with Amazonian products , obtaining a fabulous result with exotic flavors mergers
This restaurant was amazing. Not only was it great food at a great price, but also, the restaurant offered a wide selection of food choices and the staff was unbeatable. (The manager was hands down one of the friendliest guys I've encountered here in Ecuador.)...MoreMuy amable muchas Gracias por su opinión esto nos incentiva a seguir mejorando

When looking for a place to have breakfast in Baeza we stumbled across Quinde Huayco. The breakfast was just amazing: Everything was freshly prepared by the owner and the banana pancakes were the best! Plus we had a great table at the window overlooking the owner's perfect garden and hummingbird feeders which were busy with hummingbirds and other species stoping by all morning. The owner was extremely helpful and attentive and gave us great advice on what to do in Baeza. Of course we came back again the next morning to try the strawberry pancake as well ;-)

The restaurant is so clean and beautiful you can see some ducks and fish swimming there.
The music is wonderful and the most special for me was the food there is not words for describing the good presentation and the flavour.
I would like recommend this small piece of heaven in Misahualli.
The owner is so kind

The Restaurante Chuquitos was within walking distance from our hotel so based on the reviews, we gave it a try. It sits overlooking the river, so the ambiance is nice. It took us a while to get a menu, even though the restaurant was empty. It appeared that there was only one waitress, who also manned the front desk for their Cabana business. When she finally had some time, she took our drink order at the same time as she took our dinner order and both arrived at about the same time. They could probably sell more beer if they took the drink order first, then the dinner order a little later. Just a suggestion. Dinner was actually very good. We all had Churrasco, which is a traditional steak dish with two fried eggs, (on top of the steak) and French fries. The portion size was generous and much more than we could eat.

A beautiful oasis in the middle of the city where you can hang out for hours, use free wifi, have a cold beer on a couch, and eat delicious food! Guayusa Lounge has a friendly and fun atmosphere; we are constantly participating in cultural events and supporting local artists. We have had acoustic Performances, djs, tango dancers, bossa nova, and more! Come check us out and leave a review!
Great atmosphere, yummy drinks and great staff!!! By far the nicest bar in Tena, definitely a mandatory stop if you're passing by or just staying in Tena!

Two couples dined here and had great food, reasonable prices. The Chef salad included ham wrapped around cheese laid out in a design on top on the lettuce. Portions except for the quesadilla were huge. My friend and I enjoyed the Goulash, the beef was excellent and the tirasmisu decadent- made with lots of whipping cream.
My friend and I returned for the second night and received even larger portions. Service was excellent the first night and a bit slower the second because there is only 1 waiter. The owner chef is German.
