Exceeded expectations, highly recommended. Everything about our meal surprised and delighted, from the first to the last, easily one of the best meals of we have had the pleasure. Oddly (or not) the mains were not the highlight; rather the dishes leading up to the...MoreThank you so much for your kind message. The Chef Emmanuel Renaut wants to use a maximum herbs and vegetables of his garden, or products of the area. Do not hesitate to come back during another season !

Magnificent old chalet on the slope of cote 2000 !!!!!! Old wood, stove, cozy and all what can make your stop most enjoyable :)
Food is good, simple and traditional; maybe a little too abundant for a small pause when skiyng ...:) Do not miss the soup with bread and cheese ! A nice hot dish

We ate here on Christmas Eve. The restaurant was full of French falilies enjoying the festiities so the atmosphere was lovely. Cosy restaurant, not too many covers and visibility into the kitchen. Staff were attentive without being intrusive. Food was simple but well cokked and beautifully presented. The scallop croque monsieur with butternut soup starter is amazing! Overall excellent value for the quality.

We were quite disappointed whith this place; it had been recommended to us by a friend.
The good: very nice chalet decor, cosy.
The not so good: it is extremely noisy, you cannot hear yourself think, it seems everyone is trying to yell louder than everyone else. They also do not have high chairs or booster seats for small children. I had a pot-au-feu which was not very tasty. It was not bad per se just without taste.
The bad: my wife was sick next day, it was a moderate food poisoning type of sickness and she thinks it was either the terrine or the fish. I also had the terrine and was fine so I I think it was the fish, but had to say.
I think for the price you pay in this place it could be a lot better. We had other meals in the same price range and cheaper that were a lot better.

At dinner time, Le Saint Nicolas restaurant offers you "a home made fine cuisine". Our chef "Thomas tricault" has creatyed a menu only based on fresh products. There are some daily suggestions. 3 course meal : 36 euros per person. We cater for vegetarians and special diets. Also, the restaurant offers different Savoy specialities.
Four of us had dinner in this 'concept' restaurant. The concept is a fairly short menu but with interesting, high quality and very well cooked dishes.
I had the squab which was cooked perfectly in a very tasty rich sauce. Other diners loved the starters of terrine and crab, I had a perfectly balanced leek and potato soup.
The restaurant is very atmospheric, with wood panelled walls and ceiling. Service is outstanding and the price is surprisingly affordable. €31 for two courses and €38 for three courses.

This is the bistro of 3* chef Renault. The choice is varied fresh and excellent. You can get a 3 courses meal wine and coffee for less than 50 euros. Rare in Megeve

We enjoyed the lovely walk through the woods to the Calvaire, roughly 50 meters above the village. The host is a bit 'different' ... but offers an authentic experience at a reasonable price. The specialties are basically meat. I had the veal T Bone, which was ok. I recommend the rumpsteak, which can be ordered with mushrooms on top. We enjoyed out apero on the Terrace outside.

Look, the ambiance, decor and location set this place up for success. The staff and service is helpful without being fussy. The issue here is that the chef is convinced (s)he needs to overcomplicate things such as putting a red wine sauce on a grilled lobster. Sorry mate, red wine sauce completely overpowers a perfectly simple and normally tasty crustaceous. Time for a change of direction in the kitchen.

Welcome to Dahu, We offer all year round a varied menu with the seasons on a beautiful sunny Terrace. Smart and friendly atmosphere. Menu of the day every noon and dish of the day in winter. Booking highly recommended ! See you
Only used this little bar for apres ski drinks but the service was good, it is well located and the drinks are cheaper than the ones by the telecabine. We did notice that all the ski instructors use it so that is usually a good recommendation
