At lunch we didn't have much time to spare, but still the efficiency of the staff managed to fit a quality meal in a relaxed environment in just the time we had. Definitively recommended for the food, atmosphere and staff.

Set in the ancient kitchens of the Palace of Queluz and contributing to the splendour of the Pousada de Queluz - D. Maria I, the Cozinha Velha Restaurant offers delicious delicacies, according to the most genuine recipes of Portuguese traditional cuisine. Here you will find the ideal environment for a romantic dinner for two, and the strength of character for a successful business lunch. The right place to organize receptions, group meals, festive dinners, banquets or cocktails, offers a capacity of up to 150 sitting and 250 standing. You will also have access to the "Sala Dourada", in the Palace, where you can gather 70 to 100 people and gift them with a memorable reception. The Pousada de Queluz restaurant holds a harp recital every Friday at dinner. Open all week.
It is grand and when we entered we were given the 'grand' treatment by the very competent waiter/manager but, fair does, he later mellowed. The food was good, although it's not cheap, and there are some good wines to match.

This is a nice restaurant and an excellent spot in the neighborhood where it is located. The quality-price relationship is excellent (one can eat a full meal with wine on the side for about €15 to €20 per person, however it depends on what kind of wine you order). The menu is varied, utilizing most well-known Italian dishes: bread, pizzas, steaks, pasta, salads and risotto. The restaurant has one or two minor details to improve on: it can be a bit noisy (many groups go there for celebrations), and the quality of some dishes can still be improved: like the risottos and some pizzas. Most desserts are excellent, but I would recommend the panacotta. Overall it is an excellent place with an excellent, kind and hospitable staff. Though they don't deliver at home they have a takeaway service if you don't feel like eating on place. TVs are always broadcasting sports, so for those who like it it is a plus. I do recommend you make Reservations because it is simply and always full!

This restaurant has some of the qualities a restaurant must have: it has great food, great prices, the staff is friendly and attentive (just talk to Elsa), the service is fast.
However, it is a small restaurant, so you should't expect luxuries, and the table setup is rather uncomfortable (tables are too near each other).

We visited this place on our last night in Portugal and so happy we didn't leave without dining out here .
The food was amazing . The service and staff were very friendly and they took the time to explain things on the menu . We had such a pleasant experience at the place . At the end the bill arrived and we were surprised with the price . Excellent value for money . Highly recommended

I will give you the GPS location because you probably will need it to get there: N 038º 44' 43.7" W 009º 17' 03.9". If there was not something like a road sign indicating restaurant and Parreirinha I would probably have missed it. Upon entering it you shall ask yourself if you have come to the right place. You have. It is a temple of the good Portuguese cuisine. Indulge yourself with the entrees and be careful not to overeat them. Thanmove to the main dish and trust me when I say that Portugal is a place for seafood (mainly codfish). I had a dish of octupus (Polvo a Lagareiro) with a bottle of Meandro, a red Douro wine, which was a dream, a bottled dream. Simply looking forward for my next visit there. You might want to make a reservatio since people tend to find good places and to return to them. Tel for reservation are 214 379 311 and 962 819 579. The couple that owns the restaurant attend to us. You could never dream of such a good service.

WOW! Another surprisingly good local neighbourhood restaurant in Queluz! Remember standing outside their door, waiting to get in. People kept coming in after we got seated. Four of us for dinner came to just 50.25 Euro!! Really good service too from our young male server.

Não é fácil encontrar num único espaço, simpatia, comida muito bem confeccionada, é um atendimento 5*.
Recomendo os petiscos, as trouxas de caça e os bifinhos 4 queijos.
Muitos Parabéns!

Maria Azeitona is a cozy restaurant located in Amadora center - Rua Alfredo Keil. Warm setting, cozy and informal environment and offering some of the most Portuguese traditional recipes and Portuguese tapas. Join us at lunch or dinner time any day of the week! Bom apetite!
We very enjoyed the meal we had here. My father went for 3 of the starters, like tapas. One of his dishes was the curry chicken, which was absolutely amazing. I went for the steak, egg and chips (I can't actually remember the Portuguese name for this, but I believe it is quite a common dish).
The restaurant did not waste any floor space, with tables almost directly next to each other. I suppose this is to cater for the high volume of customers. We had to wait 25 minutes or so, which I thought was quite a lot for a Tuesday (midweek) lunch time!
One thing to watch out on, is when you get to your table there is already bread, goats cheese and olives waiting for you. The cheeky thing is, they then charge you for all of these as soon as you touch them. If you don't want them, make sure to tell the staff so they remove them!
Overall, this was very good and I can definitely recommend.
