Visited Alm for lunch and was lucky to pick a day when there was a band playing. Food was good along with the service although there was a big problem with some wasps which made sitting outside a bit uncomfortable.
The views from this alm are great which look across Saalbach and the surrounding Mountains. Plenty of activities for children and there is a museum at the end of the garden which was very interesting.

In 1999/2000 the Alte Schmiede was built to be an outstanding mountain and ski restaurant with 400 seats, which is open in summer and winter. It belongs to the hotel Krallerhof. In 2008 the Alte Schmiede was extended to accomodate up to 550 guests. Decorated with different awards, the Alte Schmiede is certainly one of the most unique restaurants in the Mountains. The focal point is the gallery with a mill from 1885. Lovingly restored, this unique mill still grinds today. Moreover there is a Ski Museum in honour of Sepp Altenberger sen. Both, the AsitzBrau and the Alte Schmiede, are ideal starting points for hikes and mountainbike tours. Furthermore, it is a popular spot for Concerts, events and tvproductions.
Went here for lunch with my wife. Our orders were taken with my wife's arriving 15 mins BEFORE mine. I expect the food to come all at once...a normal expectation. Staff were rude also.
The final nail in the coffin was the fact that even though smoking is only allowed in sectioned off areas...there was a guy happily smoking at the bar...which is beside were the Seating for food is....and area with kids...
My suggestion would be to go to "hendi fischerei" about 20m away...or somewhere on the slopes.
They have a bit of a monopoly but that is no reason for these items i mentioned.

Had a lovely meal last night - large portions and friendly service. I had the steak Sandwich which was tasty and cooked to perfection and my partner had the specialty schnitzel which looked amazing. We shared a dessert of apfelradl with ice cream which rounded the meal off perfectly. Prices were average for the area and the fact that the place was full when we arrived tells you everything!

Nearly missed the restaurant, you need to be over on the far righthand side and don't think what you see if where its happening, its all round the other side. We were very lucky with the weather and sat on the Terrace, there is a large one beyond the end of the building. Amazing service very attentive and with a sense of humour. We all had various Austrian specialities and weren't disappointed. Will be back!

The original hut "Asitzhutte" was built in 1930, when the region at the Asitz was used for skitouring. After the construction of the first cable car in the 1970's, the hut became a ski restaurant. In the year 2010, the Altenberger family purchased the hut and rebuilt it to the today's AsitzBrau - Europes highest brewhouse, directly at the Asitz mountain station. With 3 floors, different cosy restaurants and the brewery hall, the AsitzBrau offers accommodation for 500 people and is a perfect place for events. Brewery specialties like beer pretzel, typical roasted bratwurst from a beech wood grill and the exclusive AsitzBrau-beer are fixtures.
Definitely stop here for lunch. Food is lovely, good service, great atmosphere. Portions a quite big so if you don’t have a huge appetite I would suggest you go for the soups or for the smaller dish options.

Good food, many types of pizza and pasta. Service is good. Food was a bit salty for out taste. The place smells like a kitchen, and so do all you clothes after 30min in there.

After passing this place a few times trying to get to a place which was on our local list, this was what was available for a Saturday night. The place, despite a little old looking from the outside packs a great menu. The inside is much nicer than the exterior reveals although we dined alfresco in the garden. The food was excellent (basic) and some items required a day in advance order (chateaubriand). The steaks and schnitzels were excellent while the service was nice. Overall, this is a good find (especially for the quality of the steak). Only now wish I had another day for the preorder menu.
Cost ranges between 14-27 for adults and 7-10 for children.

The restaurant Huwi's Alm within Priesteregg is just beautiful, a truly idyllic alpine setting with incredible views & a cosy but oh so stylish rustic design, it was a pleasure to spend time in such delightful surrounds & it made me want to re-model my home in its image. Food was good rather then great - beef dishes overdone, other meals simply unmemorable. The irresistible setting & ambience would lure us back though.

Stopped here for a coffee and a snack with my wife whilst we were skiing. The hotel is directly on the piste next to a chair. The hotel is modern with really friendly and helpful staff. The service was fast.
A great stopover whilst skiing for the day
