This restaurant is very welcoming. Despite being very busy on a Saturday evening, the staff were very attentive and quick to help us, ever with a smile. There's a large variety of food, every taste catered for. The food was nice, not particularly special, but enjoyable. The atmosphere is cosy and warm, ideal for an evening with friends.

I messaged the restaurant beforehand to ask if they take credit card and they do and they asked if I would like to book so I did. Glad we did as it was already pretty busy by the time we arrived and got busier and...MoreDear The Corm, Thank you for your kind feedback. We are really glad to know that you had an enjoyable experience at India Poort and looking forward to your return. Kind Regards Mashudul

Had a chateaubriand for 2 and a desert. Very positively surprised given that the Le Beau Geste is in this mall town: meat was spot on, super tender, quality level of high class steak restaurants. Service very nice and at cause.
Relaxed atmosphere, cosy, bistro-style. Reasonable pricing (~€ 60 for two persons for chateaubriand, water and wine, one desert)
Bottom line: if you are looking for an easy but really good restaurant in Huizen, this can be your place.

The chef recognized us, gave us a nice table and despite the restaurant was full booked we were served without waiting long. The food was excellent and a bottle of Bernardus Chardonnay made the pleasure complete. We asked for a dessert what was not on the menu but without any problem we enjoyed the ginger with cream.

We had the tasting menu and while relatively expensive the food was incredible. Very unusual combinations which were really enjoyable. Service was excellent - very attentive staff who genuinely wanted to ensure a memorable meal.

They used to have a michelin star.
If you like Asian flavours and especially Indonesian food this restaurant will steal your heart. For decades they know how to keep the right Indonesian tradition and still surprise you with the dishes they compose. Just order the lunch menu to experience their newest creations. For drinks order water, beer or white wine. I suppose there will be some fruit drinks as well.

Our Dutch hosts choose this restaurant for a special last night dinner, and an excellent choice it was.
The food was very good; the wine was excellent, and the service friendly. Our host did explain that the slow service is all part of the typical Dutch experience - we had learned that already in other restaurants.
It's not the cheapest - Euros 244.00 including about 12% service (not added on to the bill automatically) for four excellent meals with coffees or teas, and a very good bottle of white wine.
And the surroundings are very pleasant - view over fields with cattle grazing; heather and woods - bit like Scotland wi' nae braes (translation: no hills/flat as a Dutch pancake).

The location is right in the hart of the village, the quality average and overpriced. The staff is not paying sufficient attention to the requests of the visitors. I believe the restaurant had had better days. Visiting the restaurant in the weekend is ensuring long waits despite reservation.
My companion and i have regretted the visit in october 2014

If you like Dutch stroopwafels, you will like poffertjes. Good poffertjes batter has a small percentage of buckwheat for that "crunchy" sensation. Eating poffertjes in a tent is an experience, especially when the tent is set in a park-like setting, like De Haan.

Had diner twice at Loetje, once on the patio, once inside. Very nice atmosphere, food is very good. The steaks are among the best we have had in Europe, cooked perfectly. Service is very good.
