We did not have great expectations, the restaurant is placed in a not so nice neigborghood, we were staying in a hotel nearby, so we just needed a meal.
We had the carbonara and a pizza, and it was surprisingly good. With free olives, grissini and bread, the bill was 28 € including 3 leffe beer. With the bill came 2 small glasses of limoncello.

We were stuck for somewhere to eat as most restaurants were closed - the food was quite good, but the portion sizes were just over facing: my steak must have weighed over a pound.

This restaurant is amongst the most creative and original restaurants in Belgium. The chef is combining tastes and products in an incredible way. The restaurant just got a first Michelin star, well deserved. I guess they are on the way to a second star in the coming years. The price is very reasonable making this restaurant one of the best price/quality ratio in Belgium. As a consequence, you'll need to make a reservation, weeks or even months in advance to get a table during the weekend.

Bonne table italienne, nous avons apprécié les plats de pâtes et le vins à prix doux. L'accueil est impeccable et le service nickel.

Très bon moment lors de leur soirée spéciale.
Superbe mezze et agneaux à la paysanne plus que délicieux.

Had an excellent dinner at Brasserie Mansart. Service was welcoming, ambiance was nice and food was excellent. Not too expensive, we were glad we chose to stop there for dinner!

Situated in the heart of the village of Saint Symphorien, "Maxens" welcomes you in a calm, cozy and freshly renovated setting. Chef Stephane Grulois, recently nominated Masterchef of Belgium, uses every ounce of his skills to enrich your senses. Your senses of sight, smell and taste awaken and transform your visit into a marvelous gourmet experience. Maxens also puts two rooms at your disposal for your professional meetings or family gatherings.
Tout est soigné dans ce resto: l accueil, la décoration, la présentation des assiettes ( très jolies couleurs) , le choix des produits .

Nice restaurant but not memorable... It was quite early evening, so maybe the atmosphere hadn't picked up yet. The usual belgian fare was pretty nice and filling: we had sole meunière, carbonnades flamandes and steak. There was a misunderstanding about my starter, which we then decided to cancel. The dessert, a 'strawberry soup', took far too long to arrive. This is in the belgian tradition, i.e. their service is slow, because they want you to sit down and relax and have a good time with your friends, but if you need to be somewhere afterwards (and we did) it might be quite inconvenient. The coffee was superbly presented.

Take a trip back in time in this lovely decorated 18th century house where everything is done to make you feel at home.No fashion-victims here, but a cosy atmosphere, classical music and fine dining, for those who take the time to appreciate the very personal kitchen of the owners.
The restaurant is spread over several rooms, so private dining is also possible. It is very nicely decorated, and staff is very friendly. An excellent daily menu is served, which when we were there consisted of some foie gras mousse with smoked duck, followed by a slowed cooked veal. A wine menu 'BOB' can be used to accompany the food. In between there were several small amuse bouche to suprise the pallet. Like the previous authors wrote a very pleasant surprise. Price/quality excellent.
Only strange thing is that the owners let the dogs walk around (semi)freely... which is a bit weird for such a good restaurant.

What a great experience. Food superb, star quality but bigger than star resto portions. We took the menu and had one serving of riz de veau and one of St Jacques followed by the duck main course. All beautifully cooked and presented. Knowledgable wine advice from the lady of the house and a warm goodnight from the chef. Highly recommended
