Like many average places in Lithuania, 1925 gets an underservedly high score on Tripadvisor, which makes using it in this Baltic State a bit of a nonsense.
Service was OK and the surroundings pleasant enough, but the food was decidedly poor and seemed expensive considering the quality. I definitely wouldn't recommend 1925 to anyone.

It's russian restaurant. Prices are quite different - it depends on what you are going to eat. Traditional russian food and I can say it's tasty. Comparing to other dinning places in Palanga Basanavicius street this one is really good.

Beautiful restaurant along the street towards Palanga beach. Went there for dessert and drinks. I recommend the apple pie with ice cream, the taste is to die for. Really delicious. My husband ordered something else... the cake was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
One flaw is the language barrier. I ordered specifically 150ml glass of white wine, and pointed to the menu exactly what I wanted, cost €3.50, but she served me something worth €5. I thought she understood as she spoke some English but apparently she did not. The price is way above the rest of Palanga restaurants. Good quality always comes with a price. I would definitely come back. Highly recommended for those with meticulous taste.

HBH have deteriorated in the quality of food, at least those that we ordered. They used to serve excellent Lithuanian cuisine which made us regular visitors whenever we travel to Lithuania. The playground for the kids still the same. The kids enjoyed the playground area. The mini zoo was just ok but nothing out of the ordinary.
The cepelenai my husband ordered was a little bit over fried, soaking in fat and just not delicious. Didn't finish his plate, was disgusting. The crispy fried bread, which I thought was ok was criticized by our hosts in Lithuania. The gira drink was fantastic, as always. Tip: don't order wine 100ml, make it double or at least request for 150ml. I´m not sure if it was in fact 100 ml but it seemed too little. Not the usual 100ml glass of wine at most restaurants I´m used to. The other orders were just ok, typical Lithuanian food served elsewhere.
I saw one of the servers drinking a big mug of gira at the counter/bar. It has several straws so I supposed it was for everybody else. Not drinking because thirsty but drinking just like one of the customers, enjoying every sip...and so on. They are working after all and not with friends hanging out. They could at least drink in the kitchen or turn their backs. This is not a good practice among servers.
The toilet looked clean, but fake clean. The smell was disgusting. Maybe not for them but it smelled like dried urine, one that you´ll find in a badly maintained gasoline station. Their cleaners should take some training in proper cleaning of public toilets. This has always been my complain ever since.
Beautiful restaurant concept design. Great to sit outside or inside. Big place to explore, great for kids, just lacking in some key points. Just wondering if they have a restaurant manager to oversee the things I´ve pointed out.

This was our first restaurant visit for lunch in Palanga, but it wasn't our last. We returned here again to sample more of their food, as it was so tasty the first time.
My husband ate the local beetroot soup here and the traditional rice and meat dumplings too, as well as some pork on another visit. I stuck with what i know and ate avocado, tomato and orange salads - an unusual combination, but boy was it delicious!
The staff are friendly and they have a full allergy contents table for their menu, which is good for people like me who have to eliminate something from their diet. For me it is gluten. There was lots of choice on the menu to suit me.

Great up-market grub at reasonable prices. Efficient service and a good range of meals to choose from. Blankets at the tables but it feels a little basic. However, the food was all really tasty.

The quality seems to be deteriorating. The food was not as good as it was before. The staff were professional but always serious and no smile on their faces. They looked tired and unhappy. Toilet had bad smell, the cleanliness is not of high standard.
Outdoor Seating is advisable. Nice view. Children´s favorite as always. A good place for family with children.
