Cleves (German: Kleve; Dutch: Kleff, Kleef; French: Clèves; Latin: Clivia) is a town in the Lower Rhine region of northwestern Germany near the Dutch border and the river Rhine. From the 11th century onwards, Cleves was capital of a county and later a duchy. Today, Cleves is the capital of the district of Cleves in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The city is home to one of the campuses of the Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences.

The restaurant is located on the river side, which is a really nice place. Food and service were regular and what it called our attention the most was the oppertunity to take a small paddleboat ride along the river for only 5 euros.

We ate at the Akropolis while passing through Kleve. We like Greek food and have eaten it during many stays in Greece and Cyprus. The nicest thing we found with the food at the Akropolis is that it is truly authentic. The second best thing was the outstanding service. The staff are kind, helpful and attentive, and exceedingly hospitable. I would recommend the Akropolis to anyone staying in or passing through Kleve.

This Restaurant is a little out of the centre, but well worth the walk. Its not typical Germanic surrounding, but the food more than made up for that. In addition to a varied menu, they offer a lunch menu of soup, salad, main and dessert for about €10 which is excellent.
We ordered off the main menu and switched from fries to Bratkartoffel. Really pleased we did as they were the most tasty we could remember.
The staff are also worthy of note as they were very attentive. This is a must when in Kleve

A German friend recommended the restaurant. It has a Greek-themed menu, but also traditional German dishes. It features an excellent but moderately priced selection of wines. The restaurant is a renovated 200-year old home with key historical features preserved. My main course, See Barsch (Sea Bass) was very good. The others ordered Greek grilled meats which they also reported to be very tasty. The manager took us on a tour of the "Cellar," which is worth doing if you visit.

This was only a 5 minute walk from our hotel and a group of us (7-8) went out for dinner. We were seated immediately without a reservation. The menu has a good selection of food and drink and the staff were helpful and friendly (with good working English) providing recommendation and descriptions of the meals.
A very friendly and cosy atmosphere and we would have back back if we had been staying longer in Kleve.

We celebrated our anniversary with husband and were surprised about quality and taste of food. We were in the middle of the week and had personal service by owner. Food - meat and fish were extremely good and served very nice. Now we have one more favourite restaurant in our food map! Strongly recommended!

Since we came here the first time we keep returning, it is our we don’t want too cook but are very hungry restaurant. The menu is classic Greek restaurant, but the quality is good, the prices moderate and the portions “Hungry Man”.
The service is very friendly and the Ouzo is on the house. Don’t expect Michelin star kinda food, but it is well prepared and the quality is very good. I mostly eat lamb, that is tender and prepared how you order it. Red is Red, Pink is Pink. This is actually a problem in a lot of restaurant. No matter how you order your beef of lamb, it is always medium. Not so here.
Also try the baby calamaris, they are nice!

The German way is to have available in every village or town several cafés, restaurants and bakeries (Konditorei), where you can enjoy coffee, tea or a cold drink, optionally with a roll, Sandwich or a delicious piece of German pastry, the core business of a "Konditorei". And plenty of room to sit down in the outdoor area when the weather is clement, to watch street life. Also a characteristic of the German way is the polite and efficient service of the waitress. Stadt Café Wanders in the charming city of Kleve is exactly such an establishment I tried to define in this review. We sat down in the outdoor Seating area and ordered latte macchiato with a delicious piece of Black Forest cake, Service of the waitress was indeed polite and efficient. Prices are a bit elevated, but still value for money.

He ordered the Pizza Vegetariana and it was very delicious. We shared a Salat and the yoghurt dressing is very yummy. I ordered Tagliatelle with shrimp, peas and zucchini.
