Near the banks of Lake Victoria, Kampala, the capital of Uganda, is a lively city with a long history. Before the British, the city was the capital of the Buganda Kingdom, and remains so to this day. The city sits on several hills, each housing an important government or religious building. Kasubi Hill is the home of the Kasubi Tombs, a sacred burial ground of Buganda Kings. The Uganda Museum sits atop Kololo Hill, and features a hands-on collection of traditional musical instruments.

We have been to this restaurant on several occasions. The very first time was the best (was with a large group). The next time was OK. The most recent time was really disappointing. It was dirty, and they sat us at a table that had on old plate of half eaten food on the chair. Service was also down, when I asked about on of the specialty drinks on the menu the waiter only could say that he knew it contained alcohol.

Memorable evening.
Thanks

Every great brand re-invents itself to keep up with the new trends and tastes of its customers. Le Château is no exception, have been in existence for over 20 years. We look forward to welcoming you.
As the pictures will attest to, the Bottomless Brunch has become an institution in Kampala and is a regular sell out. Food galore with plenty of seasonal options, providing for vegetarians and meat lovers alike.
Service for drinks was prompt as were the waiting staff always swift when clearing the plates, and not just took them and the cutlery but instantly provided new cutlery to continue with the feast.
I personally loved the addition of the Bretzels which sister outlet La Patisserie started to bake a few weeks ago and which, when fresh and still oven warm, match their European 'cousins' with ease.
With the garden setting and ample secure parking is the Brasserie Belge / Le Chateau a prime choice, not just for the brunch of course but lunch and dinner any day.

purpose of visit was to spend some time till the movie and this was a worthwhile stop. the staff were so friendly and prompt, the options available were tremendous.
I ordered the quesadillas and they were more than filling. the house coffee sort of complemented the dish and the overall time of one hour spent there was an excellent experience.
wifi is complimentary which is an addon incentive in such a place

I had lunch at this restaurant every weekday for three months and it is perfect. Faze 2 has a great choice and staff is friendly. The kitchens are open, split by sort (pork, beef, fish, tandoori) and extremely clean. Their salads are the best (and safest) in Kampala. To further enhance the food quality, this restaurant has its own butchery, which also happens to supply the five star hotels in town. They also do Delivery. A Faze 3 will be opened in Entebbe this year.
During a working week in Kampala one meeting was scheduled over lunch at Fase 2 in the centre of the city. The outdoor Seating was pleasant, sheltered from the hustling and bustling of the downtown business district. I ate rather non-descript stir-fried beef with rice while others in my group ordered curries. There were no complaints and the prices seemed reasonable. Service was efficient.

Staying at the Villa Kololo it was easy to restrict gastronomic exploration to the Italian specialities on the menu at the Mediterraneo. The restaurant is very popular and the food is fine. In the course of a four-day stay I ate lasagna, a huge pizza – perhaps not the best in the world – fish and tagliatelli dishes. I treated myself to a tira misu one evening, which was also very good. In short, with the attractive wooden tables between trees and bushes, soft lighting (oil lamps) and excellent service, the Mediterraneo can be recommended for dining in Kampala as long as you’re keen on Italian food.

Considering we are in Kampala I give this restaurant 2 thumbs up. Large indoor/outdoor space, interesting cocktails, fairly extensive menu and very accommodating to food allergies and other restrictions. Friendly and fast service. Closes at 11 pm on weekdays.

Piato is a very nice luxurious restaurant which is perfect for all occasions I must say. They have very good customer service and a wide space which allows them to host different functions in different areas.
It is also good for ordering food for take away for example cakes which will be finished on time and ready to pick up at the agreed time.

Middle eastern and Persian restaurant
My second visit here. Last time was about 6 months ago. Yet again great food at a reasonable price. Surroundings are beautiful. Would definitely give a score of excellent if the service was faster . Seemed to be a long long wait for food despite the fantastically attentive waiting staff.
