Amazing Greek Specialties With Mediterranean Influence, By Well Traveled Greek/spanish Owners. In A Spectacular Setting, Right By The Square Fountain. Great Views In The Summer, Cosy Fireplace In The Winter, Friendly Service. Open Everyday, except Mondays.
This restaurant e is situated at a busy square towards the entrance of Tsagarada.
The outside tables around the tree add to the romantic 'past times' feel. some of the tables also enjoy some lovely uninterrupted view of the Mountains. We were a large group of two families but the staff sorted everything out with great efficiency. Everything we ordered was great. Prices were Ok. Because the place is very busy pre-booking is highly advised.

This is where you find the real Greek hospitality and can feel real Greek spirit. After giving them a chance for first night, we ended up going there all other nights. Really great team of young people so polite, so in service, so kind, that you get a feeling that you're the only guest in restaurant. And believe me, there can be a line waiting to be seated.
If coming to Kala Nera and neighborhood, make a visit here and believe me, you won't regret it.

Maybe it was the end of the season.... It started well with homemade dips and bread and a delicious fig and blue cheese salad but the main courses were disappointing and felt pre cooked and heated up rather than fresh. Only one dessert offered but nice fruit platter. Lovely setting and good service

As a regular visitor to Kala Nera I can say that Nirvana is one of the better restaurants in the village. I definitely recommend trying the vast variety of ready cooked meals (mageirefta) available as they are all very tasty and the portions are generous. Ask the waiter to take you inside and show you the ready cooked meals as they are placed in hot trays. You will get to see a nice variety of home-made Greek food.

I made my birthday dinner to Ibiskos and we really enjoy it. Even though we were about 20 people we were served on time and the dishes were delicious. The staff are all very polite and extremely helpful. I strongly recommend it. We will do it again.

Our go-to place during our week in Afissos. Food was good, prices standard, but the main asset of the restaurant was the owner Stavros. Very professional, friendly and funny at the same time. We were actually looking forward to meet him (but this could be also caused by the fact that we were there before high season, so he wasnt that busy)
From the food, I especially recommend Dorado fish (great and fresh) and Gavros.

The restaurant occupies the square (plateia) of Vyzitsa, a village about two kilometres from Milies. The plateia is sheltered from the hottest sun by three giant plane trees, and overlooks the deep blue of the Pagasitic Gulf 500 metres below. In the background is the gurgle of the old village Fountain (Vrisi). We have been visiting this setting for twenty years to enjoy the distinctive local food. The Giorgaras (I defy you to pronounce the first part of the name, least of all after a few glasses of the local 'Mavro Peliou' wine), is the latest restaurant to open here. We visited with high expectations, and were not disappointed and returned night after night. The service by the family itself is extremely friendly and the prices very reasonable - 20-30 Euros ($27-40) for two, including wine. The quality of the meat is excellent - all locally bred - as is the mainly locally grown vegetable. Their arni lemonato (lamb cooked in lemon) was tender and delicious. So was their speciality 'Chanoum Mpoxa' (stuffed pork in an orange sauce). So was the rabbit cooked with juniper. Meals in Greece are not divided into 'starter, main and dessert', nor are meat dishes accompanied by vegetables. You order either salads or vegetable dishes prepared in olive oil ('ladhera'). We were lucky enough to be present when they hosted a musical feast, in which the souvla'd pork and veal were perfectly tender, moist and delicious. They served the regional succulent speciality 'boubari', to me somewhere between haggis and boudin and not to be missed. The owners of the Giorgaras and musicians made sure everyone had a great time.

Good restaurant located in a small village of Kala Nera. The staff was excellent, the food was tasty and prices were reasonable. The owner is a great man!
We weren't hungry and that's why we ate only zucchini, very tasty Greek salad, grilled sardines, tzaztziki and ordered a bottle of retina. We paid 20 euro and got an ice-cream as a compliment from the house.
