They have great value luches both downstairs (9€ incl. coffee, mango lassie was only 1€ add) and upstairs (12€, also incl. naan, ala carte style). You can choose one dish from a daily list. Service was friendly and effective.
We really recommend!
Handy place on train/bus station.

The restaurant has a very comfortable atmosphere. It doesn't have the posh look but very neat and clean and looks standard. Service is excellent. Good menu and food is great. Their home made bread was superb. They have the sitting arrangements for around 40-45 people. Well decorated and comfortable chairs. Food taste was excellent and felt was freshly cooked. A place one must visit to dine if passing Jyvaskyla.

We visited here on a Sunday evening quite late. We decided on their tapas style menu and enjoyed our selection: from scrumptious salted chips to pork ribs to tortilla. Drinks were reasonable for Finland.
Staff were helpful and accommodated three friends who had arrived in town late.

We very much enjoyed a meal at Fransmanni. All of our dishes were prepared well; the salmon received especially strong reviews. Even a 5-year-old in our group was pleased. Service was gracious and attentive but not overwhelming. A great experience.

I've been to this café few times. It's normally crowded but this time we managed to find seat without looking around everywhere. Old wooden house at the corner near main shopping street. No matter if you order sweet or savoury, everything is great. Friendly service.

Viking restaurant in the center of Jyvaskyla
If you like meat and potatoes this is your place. As long as you do not expect too much from the food. Meat was overdone with little seasoning. The sauces were rather Ok, potatoes as well. Mushroom soup was pretty tasteless. I could do a better soup frankly.
Service was first very quick, but had to go and get bill after waiting 15 mins for the waiters to interrupt their chitchat.
Prices very expensive vs. value you get. Not recommended & we did not wonder why the place nearly empty.

I had one of the best meals of my life here. The dignified atmosphere and attentive service complimented the delicious and imaginative tasting menu. Just let yourself be pampered with the skilled staff. Relax and enjoy every moment.
For the most part the wine pairings for the tasting menu were also well suited and managed to highlight and compliment the dishes perfectly. There was one or two that were excellent wines but didn't bring anything extra to the table.
If the food was exceptional, so was the service. Our waitress was such a sweetheart. She took really good care of us through the evening and we felt like royals when we left. What really made our day was the main course being served by the young (and very handsome) chef Sami Sorvoja. It is always a treat to the customer to meet the kitchen staff in person and a sign of a good restaurant.
We traveled over 250 km just to eat here and will do so again. It has been over two months since our visit and still I can't stop smiling when I think back of the wonderful experience we had in Pöllöwaari. Highly recommended!

If you want to eat much (asian) food, but not spend so much money, this may be your choice. There is nice variety of food available (soups and main dishes) and also sushi bites, and the price of buffet is 12 euros (on Saturdays 15 euros). I have visited there many times and I'll visit there also in future.

This is the Sokos Hotel Paviljonki hotel restaurant. Pretty good for a hotel restaurant. Italian style food, we all had pizzas and can recommend those. Not the cheapest, a good size pizza was 15-17€. Service was excelent. No problems at all.

Harmooni Restaurant is located in one of the landmark buildings of Jyvaskyla. You can enjoy the athmosphere of old Jyvaskyla in a nostalgic environment. During summer Harmooni Garden Terrace is an oasis in the centre of the town serving food and drinks. We serve finnish and scandinavian cuisine with best products from local producers with seasonal changes. If you instagram please use #ravintolaharmooni #harmoonirestaurant
Had dinner at the Terrace in a nice atmosphere. The menu was limited. Service was very good and the staff was helpful and friendly. Overall the food was nice but the portions were disappointingly tiny. Although the food offered some nice surprising combination of flavours, you do expect that after three course meal you would not be hungry. Highly priced.
