I can strongly recommend a visit to this true traditional Spanish style grilled meats restaurant that provides great service and value for money.
Set in a small village in the hills above Isla Cristina the restaurant is rustic with a true traditional feel.
Our party of eight ordered a cross section of the meats available on the menu which were ample size portions.
We had several jugs of the local sweet wines which went well with the food on offer.
To top this up we ordered the lettuce, onion and tomatoe salad, canary salted potatoes and were served by the two waiters who were attentive and helpful with their advice.
The whole evening including food, drinks and Deserts plus a good tip worked out at 16 Euros per person.
If you are in the area well worth a visit.

A elegant Restaurant close to the beach, a bit outside of town.
We have been here for lunch. Unfortunately we were wearing beachclothes, but I think the waiter is used to it,even the other Spanish guest, were wearing white collar.....Probably Business lunch.
Wie had rice with gambas. Normally you have to order this a day before, but we were lucky and the chef made it for us. It was very nice, not greasy as sometimes.
White wine for 13€ a bottle was a good deal if you compare it with the 40€ we paid for the lunch.

Ate here last week. Only couple eating there so no atmosphere but the food was really good with an excellent assortment of fish. The starters (around 10-14 euros) seem expensive but were very good. Mains (12-18 euros) were reasonable and the sweets cheap (all at 4 euros). Good location opposite the small marina. Recommended if you like fish.

We came here on the recommendation of the taxi driver and although we were very early - about 8 pm - we were made to feel welcome and had some drinks with the appetisers. As usual, we all had fish and each fresh dish was well prepared. The service was attentive though unobtrusive. This restaurant is maybe a bit more expensive than some of the others, but not excessively so. All in all, to be recommended, especially for its cheerful atmosphere.

If you are looking for a traditional place with great traditional food this is the place in isla Cristina. We tried it due to TripAdvisor comments and it was worthy. Excellent quality for a great value. We tried the most traditional dishes, tuna fish, gambas and squid! All of them fantastic. The restaurant is run by a couple, she is the cook and he is the head waiter! Really nice to talk to and they prepare anything that you want and need- really useful when you are traveling with kids! A must in isla Cristina!

We ate here on our first day, price was fair and the staff were friendly. This is a stones throw from the hotel, and on a Sunday this is very busy

Restaurante panoramico with great sea views. Try besides our typical Spanish dishes our fish and meat specialties
A beach dive ( a chiringuito) is not quite the definition of this stablishment. It is more like a seaside low end restaurant. that contrary to others experience had a prompt service and the menu, although limited, had good prices. As usual the Huelva shrimp were exquisite and so the Iberico de bellota, all along with the great Huelva bread and beer a great light lunch. We did not taste the more elaborate dishes but did no overhead unpleasant comments from those around us which in this part of Spain are usually uninhibited and loud.

Bar típico de la zona, en el que te vas a encontrar también lo típico, nada que te pueda sorprender.
Lo que más me gustó fue la amabilidad del camarero y la calidad de las gambas a la plancha, del resto no tengo un gran recuerdo.

The place is full on Sunday afternoons. They serve fresh fish and seafood prepared on a charcoal oven. The food is served quickly and with a smile. Not many tourists though, so the staff basically doesn't speak any language but Spanish. But don't worry , you'll manage :-)
