High prices for small portions were not unexpected for this kind of top end restaurant (16 points on Gault-Millau, although last year it had 17), and the food was indeed good, refined and elegantly presented with a sofisticated touch of molecular cuisine. I can't complain about the service either: quite friendly. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was deceiving: the place feels a bit cold, not all elements of decoration are very tasteful for such an elegant place and the absolute absence of background music makes you feel uncomfortable talking as every word reverberates in the room. The wine selection is nonetheless very impressive.

Food is very good especially the "Aldo Lasagne", everything is home made and the presentation of the plates are good for the eyes too.
Aldo and Ruth make a great team, Ruth in a quiet and gentle way, Aldo in a very exuberant way but they match.
Aldo will explain to you about the different dishes that are made daily and he will also recommend the right wine. Petra is the waitress and she is also a lovely person.

Service is excellent, place is great and well maintained. Food is what you can expect by the best chef in Ticino, by the way he is an Italian guy... Prices in line with services and quality served into your plate. Great wine selection, maybe a bit too expensive some brands from the area. Overall great experience, highly reccomended for whom is looking for something special.

Il nostro ristorante-pizzeria e posizionato nella zona pedonale di Brissago in riva al lago.Siamo vicini ad un parco giochi per bimbi, a 2 minuti a piedi dal porto e dai parcheggi.
Restaurant is very nice directly on the lake. Service very good and quality of food is good. I always have this problem with average and good. For me average is not good but this restaurant is good but not very good. My tomatoe salads just came out of the fridge and the tomatoes were ice cold. The tartar my friend ordered was ok but he was not asked if he wanted to have it a bit spicy or not. My lobster raviolis were all right but I did not taste any of the lemon grass sauce.

I enjoyed on a sunday midday the menu of (at least) 5 plates with wine per glass. Creative interpretations of some well known dishes like Macaron, Pizza Margarita, Vitello tonnato, Cesar salad etc., surprising combinations of well defined and outstanding tastes, excellent local ingredients, even the dishes are of local pottery.
The municipalities of Cavigliano, Tegna and Verscio merged in 2013 into the new municipality of Terre di Pedemonte, Pedemonte means the same as Piemonte. Enjoy Swiss Piemonte!

One of the most professional and kindest service staff we ever experienced with homey yet well executed cuisine. We found out Signora Agnese has been running the place for 48 years, we could see on the crowd that she has many regular customers. We visited the place twice for lunch and dinner and the food didnt disappoint us. The salad with the goat cheese is a trademark dish, the asparagus soup, the liquors served in a special way just to name a few things we tried.

It's a gem, the Gardens of Grotto Broggini. Whilst visiting Ascona you will have to stay there and have a bite!

On a sun-struck evening in August, we enjoyed dinner here with four friends. The welcome was warm and efficient, the service prompt without being too hasty, and the food and wine was outstanding. The risotto here, notably one with scallops, is possibly the best I have ever tasted, and the sea-bass we took as a main course melted in the mouth. The wine list is good, and the Sicilian reds have been well chosen. The atmosphere, with tables beneath trellises of vines and foliage, or in grottos hollowed out of the cliff, are attractive, and shawls and blankets are to hand for those who find the chill of the night coming on.

Don't forget to reserve for this restaurant! A wonderful meal with excellent service - very friendly. I had the risotto and porchini - delicious. Everyone at our table had something different and all were very happy. We also chose a regional wine which was also excellent. We're tempted to go back tonight.

been to this excellent restaurant which is typical of swiss alpine cuisine in the ticino area a number of times over the past 10 years. Its a pictureque trip from ascona and Locarno and well worth the 15 min ride. Ambience, swiss specialties, and friendly service have been hallmarks of this family restaurant. As a frequent TA user I was disappointed to find this not listed. Their local tele # in swiss is 091 796 1897 and just want others especially americans to know about this special town and restaurant
