The interior of this restaurant is cheap and clumsy. There is no pride at all in this restaurant. From boring look to even more boring Pizza. I would recommend finding another place to eat at

Country Hotel Anna, which is listed on Trip Advisor, was originally just a restaurant - it's at the same location.
The setting is unreal, the food is fantastic and the selection of Icelandic beer is excellent. Yes, it's not cheap - but relative to everything else in Iceland it's actually a good value. Service was impeccable down to which beer should go with the lamb (Surtur Imperial Stout is delicious, FYI).

Eldstó Art Café/Restaurant is an artistic place where all tableware is handmade on the premises by the owners G.Helga and Þór Sveinsson (Thor), potter. The coffee we serve is made of quality coffee beans and our cakes, bread and soups are local as well as our various small dishes. Icelandic lamb and fresh fish is on the menu and lettuce grown in the surrounding countryside. Having a delicious meal in our lovely Restaurant on your way to the south is an excellent idea. We have a special menu for groups.

The Old Cowhouse is a warm and welcoming family restaurant. That takes pride in offering fresh products from local area. All the meat on the menu is 100% free range and unprocessed, straight from the farm! Fresh vegetable from our garden. We bake our own bread with wheat and barley from our neighbours at Þorvaldseyri. The food was ok, we were a group of 10 but it did not really seem like the staff was enthusiastic about their job.

Rangá restaurant is an acclaimed gourmet restaurant overlooking one of Iceland's finest salmon rivers, East-Rangá River. The restaurant's motto is the concept of a "Farmers Market" - in effect using predominantly local ingredients of the highest quality and freshness - following seasonal availability. The menu is inspired by modern Nordic cuisine. The world renowned Christmas Buffet with European and Scandinavian gourmet dishes is available November to December every year. The wine list and bar selection is extensive and is sure to satisfy even the most demanding connoisseur.
The restaurant here was fantastic. The service and food were exceptional. We tried almost everything on both the dinner and breakfast menus and everything was presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. The wine selections were good. Everything was reasonably priced for Iceland.

After a walk behind the iconic Seljalandsfoss waterfall, visitors can take a moment to digest the experience by the Seljalandsfoss Shop. It is owned by two Icelandic families who spend their early mornings preparing fresh sandwiches, cakes and traditional soup for the day. Beverages are served as well, and using local products of high quality is a priority for the owners. Next to the food wagon, an additional souvenir shop is offering homemade wool sweaters and exclusive Icelandic accessories. If you're lucky, and the sun is shining, a young musician sometimes completes the atmosphere by playing on his acoustic guitar. In summer you might see a beautiful rainbow, in winter you could see another art from nature, the northern lights.
A small convenience store/food truck on wheels sitting next to the waterfall parking lot. We were hungry, but nothing really looked outstanding, so we just had tea to hold us over and warm up a little.

The restaurant is called "The Barn" because it was built in in the same location as Smaratuns former barn. The Barn is an elegant restaurant, that serves "food from the farm". Guests can either decide for a three course set menu, or choose optional dishes from the card. Vegetarian dishes are offered - lactose and gluten free dinner are also offered. The Barn is one of only two restaurants in Iceland that have been certified by the Nordic Swan - the official environmental label for the Nordic countries. The restaurant is also certified for wheelchair access.
Had dinner here and we ordered the lamb and trout main dishes. We firstly had the seafood soup which was delicious. Our main courses were well plated and tasty. Service was very good. Would return.Thank you, we are very happy you enjoyed your stay. Welcome back!

The restaurant at Hotel Rangá is an acclaimed gourmet restaurant in Southern Iceland, overlooking one of Iceland's finest salmon rivers, East-Rangá River. The restaurant's motto is the concept of a ”Farmers Market“ — in effect using predominantly local ingredients of the highest quality and freshness — following seasonal availability. The menu is inspired by modern Nordic cuisine. The world renowned Christmas Buffet with European and Scandinavian gourmet dishes is available November to December every year. We were excited to dine at this restaurant, but had a bad experience. The dining room is pretty, but we waited 45 minutes after ordering to get our dinner. The food was decent, but certainly nothing special for the expensive price.
One of the staff finally came over and explained that they had a large wedding party upstairs as well as a new menu which started that day. They offered us free dessert to make up for the delay.
We decided to get the dessert cheese platter thinking that would be quick. That took another 45 minutes!!
We had a way better meal at the local pizzeria tonight!

What a great little place.
We happened upon this place purely by accident. We where out driving and saw this cute little cafe.
We stopped in and were greeted with the smell of fresh coffee and delicious sweet treats.
We tried the honey cake and it was a hit with everyone. It delicately sweet and moist.
We also tried a waffle. It was also good.
Service was friendly and pleasant. You order and find a table.
