Catering principally for locals with a handful of travellers, this roadside eatery served up good food at good prices. Great for people watching especially when English Premier League Football is on the TV! Very close to Mr Charles Guest House.

We're desperately looking for Western food but there is nothing in Hsipaw. While we're biking around we passed to this Chinese restaurant, we saw a few people inside mostly foreign tourist so we thought we go for it.
After we Seating down, I think it was the owner given us the menu together with a piece of paper and pen, we have to write down our order. There are many choices, but when I see it some dish is similar to Burmese food. We found something that we haven't ate yet, pork gravy, pork lever and we order for appetizer the spring rolls
The food came in 10 minutes, I always check my watch how long we've waited. Spring rolls is good it filled with prawns. The pork gravy is good, the meat sliced in small pieces, the pork liver isn't my taste. While we Seating there in half hour the whole place almost fully occupied.
This restaurant seems popular, as they are listed in Lonely Planet travel guidebbook, but is not that special - is a Chinese restaurant what you get there you get it elsewhere. We pay 9.900 kyat is cheap but elsewhere is better

We went for a walk in the morning, past the market and then on down to the river. We came across this traditional wooden house, with outside Seating above the river, with views in both directions. Lots of old wood, and very nicely presented. Scattered eats outside. A small coffee and tea and cake menu in the morning (don’t know about later.) The cappuccino wasn’t anything to write home about, but the straight coffees were really nice, as were the cakes, the service was quick and with a smile, and the setting was perfect in mid-stroll on a cool morning.
Great spot for coffee if relaxing or killing time in Hsipaw. Gets a thumbs up from me.

This is a nice riverside spot with decent food and a good atmosphere. The only problem was that it was full and there was just one waitress working. Service was therefore extremely slow despite the poor lass working her socks off.

I would not go here for dinnee, since the few main dishes are good, but not very interesting. Yet for lunch or after a trek this place is perfect! The shakes are delicious and so are the snacks like the dumplings. The guacamole was the best one I had in SEA so far!

We were really happy to find this place. The staff were really friendly and the draught beer was served in ice cold glasses which went down very well after a long day.
We ate here twice and had the Shan noodle soup and veg hot pot, both of which were delicious.
Try the cauliflower and egg dish as an extra. Yum !

After using the complementary ferry over the river, you enter a nice open-air restaurant under a big roof with fabulous view over the river.
It is very nicely decorated. They have a free wlan/wifi.
The kitchen is very clean, professional and at international standard. Which is very rare for Hsipaw.
The food is very good (for western dishes all original indigrents are imported for best quality).
The Myanmar dishes are also amazing. As a drink, I liked the lime juice very much.
We have eaten several times in this restaurant and were never dissapointed.
Also the service is very kind and speaks good English.
We will be back!
