My Wife and I and all of our Children (since berth) have been eating in this fabulous Restuarant since it first opened, we have eaten in some of the finest eating houses in Londons West End and theirs not one that comes close too Moments of Scratby, Dawn and Cain are two of the nicest people you could wish too meet and very hard working, as are all of the staff Dan & Ellie especially, nothing is ever too much trouble . The class, the way you are greeted and treated is second to none, which is why so many people return time after time. The steaks are succulent as are the Fish dishes, in all the years we have been eating in this fabulous restaurant we have never had a meal that has been any different from the previous visit, always the same year in year out. The Surf & Turf is a must for all who love your steak & prawns, it is a dish I have many times through the course of the year and Cain the chef is a past master of this dish. If you are ever in Scratby or Hemsby or Caister or anywhere near too this wonderful part of Norfolk, I want recommend you try this bootiful place you will not come away dissapointed. This wonderful Restuarant and its owners and all of its staff are second too none. Keep up the good work, you are all a treat to the county of NORFOLK!

We visited for dinner while staying at the nearby Hermanus holiday park. We sat in the bar area with our dog, who was made welcome, and there was a nice, cosy atmosphere with several other couples dining. The food was delicious with generous portions. It's worth noting that there are several vegetarian and vegan options available. The lady working behind the bar was friendly and welcoming. Service was quick but we didn't feel at all rushed. Puddings were fabulous!

Stunning view as we sat outside looking over Rollesby Broad. 2 of us had Panini and 1 other had the cheese scones. Cheese scones were hard and looked very dry although my friend said they were ok. Panini were ok although I think a bit on the expensive side. Dog friendly and staff were fine. Would go again but only for the view.

How downhill has this pub gone! Used to be a lovely place for a reasonably priced lunch menu.
Went for lunch today. The first impression was cold and dirty. Could not even see through windows and cobwebs all over them. Terrible. New chef on board we were informed. We asked if we could have lunch. The bar lady looked at us then looked at the clock and said yes. Not very welcoming. Ordered a glass of wine and a beer. The wine glass was as filthy as the pub. Showed this to the bar lady. Sorry she said I will get you a clean one. Dreadful. Was given the menu. Well overpriced for the state of the pub. Asked if there was a lunch menu. She said no as there was a new chef. We saw there was a reasonably priced special menu board with a choice of four dishes. We both ordered from that. The food arrived on stone cold plates. Couldn't bring myself to complain again. Both meals were covered in over sweetened sauce come gravy which was described as 'jus'. Not a clue. The meal came with warm vegetables in a cold dish and new potatoes again in a cold dish with not a covering of butter or a decorative sprig of mint in sight. Bland cold and tasteless. There were more dogs in the pub than people. A couple on the table next to us arrived and looked at menus and special board. They asked if there was a lunch menu also to be told no. Well we did so envy their choice for lunch when it arrived. Two bags of plain crisps!!

Serving tradition seaside Fish & Chips on Beach Road in Hemsby.
Went for cod and chips at 7pm ordered 3 times cod and chips at a cost of £6 each as soon as we got our order from a very unhelpful staff member who locked doors as soon as we left so we had no way of going back to complain if there was anything wrong
The so called cod has never even swam next to a cod we don't know what sort of fish it was but it was not cod
My first bite of fish was not the nicest but was hungry so had a second mouthful which made me vomit so tried to complain but no staff would answer
In hind sight should of taken to trading standards but as on holiday threw them away and put it down to bad luck
Take care if you try this shop

We visited on a cold and drizzly morning in mid-March, having rented a property in this village for the week. Despite the weather there were others there when we arrived at 10am. We decided to treat ourselves to a Full English Breakfast to set ourselves up for the day. The service is friendly and efficient. Our food was freshly cooked to order and arrived about 15 minutes later. It was of excellent quality and absolutely delicious, washed down with proper tea! They accept debit/credit cards if you spend over £10. It's not especially cheap but the quality it top-notch. So much so that we re-visted later that afternoon for two Norfolk Shortbreads (like a fruit scone filled with strawberry jam and fresh cream) to take away for an afternoon indulgence! We will recommend it to all our friends.

The Nelson Head, Horsey.Traditional country pub, child and dog friendly with a warm welcome and large open fire.Walks extending around the broads and down to the sea.We offer real ale and fresh local food cooked to order.
The pub looks a mess from the outside, but once inside it shows how an old fashioned pub should be. Great helpful staff and lots of quirky things on the walls. Yes it looks in need of a make over but that just adds to the charm. And on top of all that the food is great as well. We will be going back.

We have eaten here a few times this year and it has always been good food at a reasonable price. The Sunday Carvery is especially good and excellent value but the standard menu meals are not as good on a Sunday as they are on other days as so much effort is put into the carvery. Bar service has always been good if perhaps a tad slow in busy periods and there is a range of beers. Dogs are allowed in the bar area and ours enjoys her trips to the pub and meeting the other dogs.
